This is the first significant change in decades. The standard now classifies kits by work environment and potential hazards instead of by the number of people served. When determining the number of kits and the size needed, the standard is now more subjective and not specifically based on the number of employees around the risk. The 2015 ANSI revision introduces two new classes of first aid kits:• Class A kits include contents designed for the most common types of

workplace injuries• Class B kits include a broader range and quantity of supplies to deal with

injuries in more complex or high-risk environments. Suggested for any work zone where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Many of the first aid supplies previously identified as being recommendations in the 2009 standard are now required for both of the newly designated kit types. All ProWorks® Class A and Class B kits meet the new ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2015 standards and promote workplace compliance.
