The Kurrus family has been providing professional services for over 135 years in the metro-east and is continually striving to serve families in their time of need. Kurrus Pet services is family-owned and-operated and are governed by the rules and regulations established by the State of Illinois and St. Clair County. On December 15, 2010, Kurrus Funeral Home opened an on-site state-of-the-art facility designed to provide a first-class, caring, dignified, and ethical form of cremation. Cremation services are tailored to each pet, and price is determined by the weight of the pet. We have something for everyone, whether you prefer the cremated remains returned in a simple box or something customized to fit your needs and price range. Kurrus Funeral Home realizes that pets are also part of your family, and they hold a very special place in your heart; therefore, all pet cremations are handled by Licensed Funeral Directors that are certified by Cremation Association of North America. All pets are treated with the same respect as humans.

What makes Kurrus Pet Services different?

• Kurrus has been in the funeral business for over 135 years in the Metro-East area

and treats pets with the same professionalism and respect as humans.

• Private cremations will be returned in 3 to 5 days (instead of 2 to 4 weeks).

• All pet cremations are performed by Licensed Funeral Directors and tagged with an identification medallion, just like humans.

• Remains from communal pet cremations will be scattered in our Precious Pets

Memorial Garden, located on the grounds of Kurrus Funeral Home for anyone to visit.

• State-of-the-art cremation building is attached to Kurrus Funeral Home.

Our cremation fees are based are based on the following:

* Communal Cremation: Cremated remains to be scattered in Precious Pets Memory garden.

Pricing: $35 each Working Animals (Seeing Eye Dog, Police Dogs Etc.) = N/C

(Requires documentation)

* Private Cremation: Cremation Certificate

Key chain vial for hair or ashes Ashes placed in plastic temporary container (Urns Available) Cremation completed within 3 to 5 days.

Pricing: 0 – 14 pounds = $ 120.00 15 – 49 pounds = $ 150.00 50 – 100 pounds = $ 170.00 100 + pounds = $ 180.00 plus $1 per pounds over Police Dogs – N/C with documentation

* Private 24 hour turn-around: (25 mile radius) Pickup 7 days a week (9-5) Cremation Certificate

Key chain vial for hair or ashes Ashes placed in decorative wood urn (other urns available) Pet returned within 24 hours from time of call.
