• Connects to DE-KIT Tier1 in Germany

– Via cross-border PL-DE fiber

Implementation opportunities

• Make use of the existing extensive cross-border fibers infrastructure around Poland to connect to – NetherLight LHCONE exchange point. Access to:

• SARA T1, NIKHEF T2 and others T1/T2 European and World centers

– NDGF T1

– DE-KIT T1

– Prague T2

– Poland's bordering countries in the East

• Benefits – Increase T1-T2 and T2-T2 performance

– Support high-volume data transfer

– Separation of LHC-related large flows from the general purpose IP infrastructure

– Incorporation of direct international ways of interconnecting sites

– No external costs for NRENs involved !!!
