First Baptist Decatur Worship and Fine Arts Academy is an extension of the Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church. Our aim is to provide the finest vocal, instrumental, and fine arts instruction available and direct students to perfecting and using their talents for the Lord. We offer private and group instruction to anyone in the community desiring to begin or continue music and fine arts instruction. Our teachers are highly qualified in their field of teaching. There are no entrance requirements. Adults and children age 7 years or older may enroll. We operate on two 14-week semesters per year. Weekly lessons are 30 minutes long. All lessons are given at the First Baptist Church.

Class and private lessons can be paid one of two ways each semester:

Plan A: Payment before lessons begin for the entire 14 week semester.

Class: $252 Private: $320 Plan B: Four monthly payments due the first lesson of each month.

Class: $63 Private: $80

(All payments should be made payable to First Baptist Church)

Please note that if circumstances arise that prevent you or your student from fulfilling their commitment, you will be responsible for payment of the remaining lessons in

An annual registration fee of $25 per individual or a maximum of $40 per family is due at the beginning of each year of study. It is payable to First Baptist Church and should be paid before lessons begin. If faculty members miss a lesson because of their sched-ules, every attempt will be made to make up that les-son. When a student misses a lesson without notifying the teacher at least 8 hours prior to lesson time, the les-son will not be made up. If proper notification is given, the teacher will work with the student to re-schedule the lesson as time is available. Students must no-tify the teacher directly. The office will not be responsible for notifying teachers.
