Welcome to our 20th sale. The horses offered in our sale are from people that use them for a living and know how to handle them. They are exposed to all aspects of ranch work.

I believe when training a horse you start from the ground and build brick by brick, there cannot be any short cuts and always finish on a good note.

It’s a lot of work to put a sale on, we would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to family and friends for their help. Thanks to Clay and Kim for the use of their facilities!

Jet is a golden palomino 6 year old that always draws attention. He has an easy going manner and is smooth to ride. Jet is excellent in the branding pen and pulls calves with no effort. I’m going to spend a lot of time sorting and cutting cattle, and getting a good handle on him. Jet is a good rope prospect or high-end family ranch horse.

Hank is a big stout 6 year old that was started last summer then I camped on him for 2 weeks last fall. Wyatt Bennett has taken him over and he will be a well used ranch horse. Hank is a handsome fella with lots of foot and bone. He is always quiet and gentle to be around, good work ethic, a gelding that will stand up to lots of hard miles.

We have really enjoyed this gray 3 year old. He has a laid back attitude and a positive outlook about everything. Started last summer as a two year old, we spent a week on him last fall then turned him out for the winter. Frost will be heeling the hot heels sale day. High end prospect.

Bingo was in our sale last year, 3 days before sale we found a piece of wire poking out of bottom of foot. In three weeks with treatment he was as good as new. Last year as a four year old he was a gentle and like to please gelding that was heading steers in a positive fashion. Bingo has started right where he left off. Trump is a 5 year old, that if you are looking for a heading prospect he is a candidate to get excited about. Started on the

heading side last fall and he’s been to 3 brandings this spring. Trump is enjoyable and obeys every request instantly and

willingly. When he flies up on cattle he doesn’t jar you, he can make a poor roper look good! That’s why I like him.

old. We will be riding by sale day. I have trained a lot of these Blue Max colts, they are easy to work with, and they have a

Major is an extra fancy 5 year old. He was started as a 4 year old and has had heavy use this spring and summer. Major walks out well, is sure footed and a top performance prospect. He took to brandings like a duck to water and likes anything to do with cattle. Major will be heeling the hot heels and steers sale day. I would like to change Traps head a little, but

that’s all I would tweek. He has a big heart,

is honest, walks out well, pulls calves with

ease and for a small stout horse he’s very

smooth to ride. Trap was new to branding

pen this spring, he walked in and went to

work. A good timbered, sure footed, gelding.

Tonto is a 5 year old paint gelding with a

solid head. He is quick footed and has a

smooth way about him. He has been used

for sorting pairs and will have a good dose of

ranch work by sale day. Zane Bennett has

taken over working this gelding. The

Bennetts know their way around a horse, if

you have a chance to buy one they have

worked with, you won’t be disappointed

Learning from the pro Grandpa enjoying branding day

I have saved Dundee for the last. A rare

combination of every good quality you can

think of. I’m high on this guy, I have never

rode a better gelding in the branding pen.

Dead quiet and right on every calf. At Al

Fentons branding he pulled in 5, 350-400lb

calves, that took a lot of heart. He is good

for anyone to ride, we will be heeling steer

sale day. Dundee is a gelding to get excited

about!

We have four mid sized ponies in our sale this year. We have grandchildren wanting to work with horses so we are working these guys into our program. We are using these ponies in all duties here on the ranch, and trying to get them safe and reliable. Little people mean a lot to us so we will be telling you exactly what each pony is about and if he will work for you. The best way is to come and try them out before the sale. Ainsley Bader is working on the ponies with our grandkids helping her.

Sunny is a registered 9 year old welch pony.

He is a broke horse with a one hand neck

rein. We are using him on the ranch and he

will be a popular sought after guy on sale

day. Come and try Sonny out to make sure

he fits.

Fletch is a 6 year old Caspian bred pony with

a likeable disposition. He is easy to catch and

good to work around. With a limited amount

of outside riding, Ainsley is now riding him

daily and he will get a turn in the battle river

hills where we run our cattle for the

summer.

We think highly of Baba Looey, he is gentle,

gentle and willing! Just the right size for a

light adult, teenager or youngster. He is like

Ferdinan the Bull , the other geldings will

disappear leaving Baba Looey alone, that’s

just fine by him. He is at the bottom of the

pecking order and wants to be caught first.

Baba has been to brandings pulling smaller

calves. All signs indicate a first class family

horse.

At 14.2hh Hardy is sound and has done all types of ranch work. For a little horse, he is very strong on the horn. He's been ridden in the mountains, crossed creeks, and through bush. has been used in the pasture and branding

Socks is a very eye catching 11 year old

gelding. Socks has been Wyatt’s special

horse for years. It’s hard to find a horse with

as much time and seasoning . Whenever

there is a tricky job to do like rope a bush

cow out west, Socks is the horse that would

go to handle the job. He has headed and

heeled steers and is good in the box. Socks is

a special gelding that is hard for Wyatt to let

go.

Boone is a big strong 3 year old. He is a

really thick and put up with a big heavy foot.

He has lots of miles pushing pairs at calving

time and has been to a few brandings. He is

going really well for a young horse and has a

bright future.

Oscar is a very quick footed 3 year old. He

has had lots of miles pushing pairs and is

very cowy. Oscar does not like to be beat

and is fun to be on when he gets on a cow.

You really appreciate the smooth way he

moves after spending a day on him.

Lippy is another really good Pilsner colt. He

is an extremely level headed with a walk

that is hard to beat. He is a very smooth

and gentle buckskin. Lippy is a horse that all

the girlfriends like to ride. It is hard to find a

horse that is as willing and gentle, yet still

lots of horse when you want it. He works

very good in the branding pen, he is just an

all around nice using gelding.

Mo is a special red roan that we raised, he

is 7 years old. Anyone can ride him. He has

done all aspects of ranch work and has

headed a fair bit. You can throw anyone

on him and send them into the branding

pen and he will show them the way. He is

very solid in the box. He has had lots of

seasoning from trailer loading bulls to

riding in the mountains. We think highly of

Mo.

Pepsi is an 8 year old grullo gelding. He

has done. He has done lots of ranch work,

from calving cows to brandings. He has

done lots of doctoring and is heeling

steers. Pepsi responds best with a gentle

hand.
