About this Issue

Expressive communication involves the

exchange of information via proper

channel. This newsletter is one such

cherished work that had its roots in the

persuasion. This newsletter serves to

reinforce and allow increased awareness,

improved interaction and integration

among all of us. It is the snapshot of the

various activities held in the Department

between January 2019 to March 2019.

Dr. Manojkumar Deshpande,

I am happy that Department of Computer

Science and Engineering is bringing out

Departmental Newsletter “Prestige

Chronicles” Volume 5 Issue 1. This

newsletter will definitely help to showcase

the activities that are happening in the

Department. This would definitely create

and impact in the minds of readers, by way

of providing larger visibility and dimension

to the Department. I hope that this culture

of releasing Newsletter continues for ever

and become a quoted example for all other

Departments to follow.

NBA Team Visit

Department of Computer Science and

Engineering had applied for accreditation of

Department. Team consisting of experts

from Bangalore and NIT, Kurukshetra visited

Institute dated January 04 to 06, 2019

Alumni Meet

Alumni meet of students of Batch 2012-16

was successfully organized by Department

of Computer Science and Engineering dated

January 05, 2019.

Parents Teacher Meet

Parents Teacher Interaction was

successfully organized by Department of

Computer Science and Engineering dated

January 05, 2019.

Interactive Session of Dr. S.C.Choubey on

“Applying for research grant”

With an objective to educate the educators

an interactive session of Dr. S.C. Choubey

Students attending Workshop at

RGPV,Bhopal

17.01.2019 Six students Mr. Arpit Jain, Mr.

Ayush Jadhav, Mr. Kamal Sahu, Mr.

Rambabu , Mr. Uday Verma and Mr. Yogesh

Singh were nominated by Department to

attend regional dissemination workshop

organized by AICTE at RGPV, Bhopal. The

main objective of the workshop is to aware

students with the Atal Ranking of

Institutions on Innovation (ARIIA),

Insitutions Innovation Council (IIC) and

Smart India Hackathon 2019.

Interaction of Mr. Shobhan Taparia

It is always nice to have an interaction with

distinguish alumni of the Department. On

January 22, 2019 Mr. Shobhan Taparia

Alumni, CSE visited Department for the

purpose of hiring Interns. Mr. Taparia is

presently working as Director, Efficient

Connections, Indore.

Matlab Workshop for students of VI and

IV Semester

On January 17, 2019 Department

successfully conducted workshop on “How

to use MATLAB tool”. The workshop was

conducted for students of second year,

third year students of the department. The

workshop was conducted under CSI and

ACM chapter of the Department.

Expert Talk of Mr. Ranjit Nahak on

“Artificial Intelligence”

On January 25, 2019 an expert lecture of

Mr. Ranjit Nahak on “Artificial Intelligence”

was successfully organized for the students

of second year. Mr. Ranjit Nahak is working

as Assistant Professor at Prestige Institute

of Management & Research, Indore.

The activity was organized under CSI and

ACM chapter of the Department.

Expert Lecture of Mr. Sourabh Gupta on

“Placement Opportunities & Preparations”

On January 31, 2019 an interactive session

of Mr. Sourabh Gupta on “Career

Opportunities and Preparations” is

organized for students of Second Year CSE.

Mr. Sourabh is alumni of first batch of the

department and presently working as

Managing Director and Trainer, CMC Career

Academics, Indore.

Workshop on “Android Application

Development”

Department of Computer Science and

Engineering successfully conducted two

days hands on workshop on “Android

Application Development” from February

01 to 02,2019. The event was conducted

under CSI and ACM Chapter of the

Department. Mr. Shailendra Panwar,

Trainer, Universal Informatics and Ms.

Pratibha Gupta, Trainer, Universal

Informatics enthusiastically guided the

students and help them to develop Apps. All

students actively participated in the

workshop and developed more than 5 apps.

The workshop was organized for students

of Second year, CSE.

Cocubes Assessment Test

Cocubes Assessment test for students of

Second, Third and Final year was

successfully conducted from February 5,

2019 to February 11, 2019.

Code War Competition

28.02.2019 On the occasion of National

Science Day Code war Competition was

successfully conducted by Department of

Computer Science and Engineering.

Students from varied branches participated

in the activity. Dr. Raksha Chouhan HOD,

Systems, PIMR was the Jury Member of the

event. Mr. Aman Verma from CSE VI

Semester was the Winner, while Mr.

Rambabu from CSE VI Semester was the

runner up for the event. The event was

coordinated by Mr. Atish Mishra and Mr.

Devendra Singh.

Cyber Security Workshop

28.02.2019 On the occasion of National

Science Day Hands on workshop on “Cyber

Security” was successfully conducted for

the students. Various students from

different branch participated in the event.

Mr. Harvinder Singh Sodhi from Universal

Informatics was the trainer. The event was

successfully coordinated by Mr. Mahavir

Jain.

Mobile App Development Competition

28.02.2019 On the occasion of National

Science Day Mobile App Development

Competition was successfully conducted by

Department of Computer Science and

Engineering. Students from varied branches

participated in the activity. Ms. Ranu

Jaiswal from DXE Technologies was the Jury

Member of the event. Mr. Ritesh Patel and

Mr. Anikesh Patel was the Winner for the

event while second prize goes to Mr. Jai

Sharma and Mr. Anand Kumar. Mr. Ashish

Yadav and Mr. Rohit Raikwar took the third

position. The event was coordinated by Mr.

Santosh Varshney and Mr. Arpit

Maheshwari.

Cyber Gaming Tournament

On March 01, 2019 Cyber Gaming

Tournament was organized by Department

of Computer Science and Engineering. Total

180 Students of various discipline

participated in the event. The event was

sponsored by MMTCS, Jobsneed and Yashvi

Technomatics.

Alumni Meet

Alumni meet of students of Batch 2013-17

was successfully organized by Department

of Computer Science and Engineering dated

March 02, 2019. The activity was organized

under Annual Technical Festival, Prestige

Urjotsav 2K19.

Expert Lecture of Dr. Raksha Chouhan on

“Cyber Security”

On March 14, 2019 Expert Lecture on Cyber

Crime was organized by Department of

Computer Science and Engineering for

students of second year. Dr. Raksha

Chouhan HOD, PIMR, Indore was the

keynote speaker. The activity is organized

under CSI and ACM chapter of the

Department.

Project Evaluation by Mr. Vaibhav

Kothari

On March 15, 2019 Mr. Vaibhav Kothari

Alumni CSE visited department for the

purpose of evaluating project presentation

of final year students of the Department.

Mr. Vaibhav Kothari is presently working as

Head, Technical at Prime Focus, Indore.

Education Tour to Barli Development

With an objective to understand the impact

of the professional engineering solution in

societal and environmental context an

Industrial Visit to Barli Development was

organized by Department of Computer

Science and Engineering dated March

19,2019. The training was organized for the

students of second year of engineering and

was coordinated by Ms. Rupali Pathak, Mr.

Mahavir Jain and Mr. Atish Mishra.

Department congratulates following

students for securing more than 8 pointers

in RGPV examination.

Oracle Java Classes under PCCD

Department successfully initiated training

on Java Fundamental under Prestige Center

for Career Development. The training was

organized in association with Oracle.

One Day Symposium on “Applications of

Big Data and Industry 4.0 for Industries of

Madhya Pradesh” is scheduled in the month
