Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island, located about 230 km (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the centre of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest point at 727 m (2,385 ft).
Bora Bora is a major international tourist destination, famous for its aqua-centric luxury resorts. The major settlement, Vaitape, is on the western side of the main island, opposite the main channel into the lagoon. Produce of the island is mostly limited to what can be obtained from the sea and the plentiful coconut trees, which were historically of economic importance for copra. According to a census per-formed in 2008, the permanent population of Bora Bora is 8,880.
Under a one hour flight from the island of Tahiti or Moorea, the island of Bora Bora, with a lagoon resembling an artist’s palette of blues and greens, is love at first sight.Romantics from around the world have laid claim to this island where the castle-like Mount Otemanu pierces the sky. Lush tropical slopes and valleys blossom with hibiscus, while palm-covered motu circle the illuminated lagoon like a delicate necklace. Perfect white-sand beaches give way to emerald waters where colored fish animate the coral gardens as they greet the giant manta rays.
Truly, the most romantic island in the world. From the dramatic scenery to the privacy and amenities of the overwater bungalows, everything in Bora Bora equals a 10 on the romance scale. Resorts have been welcoming couples for over 40 years and their special amenities have been fine tuned to perfection. From sunrise to sunset, each resort has designed their own blend of unique romantic experiences for their guests to choose from.

Today the island’s economy is driven almost solely by tourism. Over the last few years several resorts have been built on motu (small islands, from Tahitian) surrounding the lagoon. Thirty years ago, Hotel Bora Bora built the first over-the-water bungalows on stilts over the lagoon and today, over-water bungalows are a standard feature of most Bora Bora resorts. The quality of those bungalows ranges from comparably cheap, basic accommodations to very luxurious and expensive places to stay. The only camping on the island is Bora Bora Camping at the southern point of Motu Piti Aau.
Most of the tourist destinations are aqua-centric; however it is possible to vis-it attractions on land such as WWII can-nons. Air Tahiti has five or six flights daily to the Bora Bora Airport on Motu Mute from Tahiti (as well as from other islands).
The island is served by Bora Bora Airport on Motu Mute in the north, with Air Tahiti provid-ing daily flights to and from Papeete on Tahiti.Although French and Tahitian are the main languages spoken by the inhabitants, people in contact with tourists generally have some command of English. Most visitors to Bora Bora are American, Japanese, or European.[citation needed]
Snorkeling and scuba diving in and around the lagoon of Bora Bora are popular activities. Many species of sharks and rays inhabit the surrounding body of water. There are a few dive operators on the island offering manta ray dives and also shark-feeding dives.

The boundary of the Pulau Redang Marine Park is established by a line linking all points 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) from the shores of Pulau Redang, Pulau Lima, Pulau Ekor Tebu and Pulau Pinang.
Redang Island, locally known as Pulau Redang or just “Redang” is one of the largest islands off the east coast of Malaysia. It is one of nine islands, which form a marine park, and which offer snorkeling and diving opportunities. Access is from Merang or Kuala Terengganu on boats operated by the resorts. Redang Airport is a small airport with services operated by Berjaya Air from Singapore (Changi Airport) and Kuala Lumpur (Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport).
The island is also an important conservation site for sea turtles. Previously, the indiscriminate economic exploitation of turtle eggs had caused fewer turtles returning to nest on the island. This has led the Terengganu state government to set up the Koperasi Setiajaya Pulau Redang in 1989, a cooperative aiming to develop and manage socio-economic programmes that could improve the livelihood of Pulau Redang locals without endangering its natural resources

Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah (Malay: Langkawi Permata Kedah) is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On July 15, 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration. By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Pulau Langkawi with a population of some 64,792, the only other inhabited island being nearby Pulau Tuba. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island

There are two island areas: the Southern Islands, with a heavy tourist population and the islands to the north east which are more secluded without tourist traffic. Lan-gun Island has a fresh-water lake like Pregnant Maiden Lake only without the tourists and has Sand Spit Beach on its south-facing orientation.

LAKSA SARAWAK
One of the famous food in Sarawak is the local Sarawak laksa is a creamy, spicy, local variation of Malaysia’s ubiquitous soup-noodle bowl. Jumbo prawns, fresh lime, and coriander lend a unique flavor to the broth which is thicker than that found in most noodle bowls heavy but delicious. The noodles are usually made from thin vermicelli. Laksa is one of those unique dishes, possibly hard to find at home, that people crave long after their Southeast Asia sun-tan fades to a fond memory. The taste of sour, spicy, slightly sweet with a hint of fish – laksa is a mouth-watering noodle soup dish found all over Southeast Asia. Though the epicentre may be Malaysia,laksa’s fame has spread throughout Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, and the West.
Laksa typically consists of rice noodles in a thick, gritty gravy made from either coconut milk and curry paste or tamarind fruit and fish, depending on the locale. Lemongrass, garlic, shallots, chili, fish or shrimp, and a long list of other seasonings blend flawlessly for a complex taste. Optional lime helps to counter. The fishy taste and adds a citrus zing. Laksa also known as the quintessential fusion of Chinese and Malay cuisine.

KUCHINGLAYER CAKES
One of the first things that people notice while walking along the Main Bazaar in Chinatown are the tables of colourful cakes sold in plastic boxes. Known locally as kek lapis, the layer cakes are edible art and come in a huge variety of flavours including coffee, sweet-and-sour, cheese, and assorted bizarre flavours you would not normally associate with a dessert.
If a whole cake – usually sold for about $3.50 – seems daunting, try buying just a piece for 50 cents in either the Sunday Market or from a bakery, the vendors selling cakes from tables will not cut them.
During the festive season in Malaysia, Layer cakes are the most wanted food or one of the cakes will be present during the day celebration. So, when visit Sarawak layer cakes can be the souvenir for related family and friends, they must love it!
BEST INTERENGGANU
KEROPOK LEKORIf you are in Terengganu, remember to drop by the stalls that sell this delicacy and try this finger food in boiled as well as fried type. It is one of the unique food that is a specialty of Terengganu. Prepared from fish meat grounded with sago and salt, these are then rolled and made into the shape of long tubes similar to sausages.
They are then boiled and can be eaten while hot together with chilly sauce. Another way to eat is to fry the keropok lekor which makes it crunchy and eaten with chilly sauce. There are many stalls in Terengganu that sell this delicacy but the popular ones are located in Kampung Losong, Kuala Terengganu. If you are going to the state museum, stop by this village and purchase this delicacy after your visit to the museum. Kampung Losong is about 10 minutes away from the museum.

NASI DAGANG TERENGGANU
Nasi Dagang is a rice speciality of Terengganu. The Dish is made by cooking rice and glutinous rice together, to which is then added coconut cream once it is cooked. It is eaten with it’s own specially made side dishes of tuna curry and a light vegetable pickle. Simplicity is its essence.
Nasi dagang is a Malaysian dish consisting of rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry and extra ingredients such as fried shaved coconut, hard-boiled eggs and vegetable pickles. Nasi Dagang literally means “Trading Rice”. It is a well-known breakfast food in the states on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, such as Terengganu and Kelantan.
The most famous Nasi dagang of Terengganu comes from Kampung Ladang, an area within the Kuala Terengganu district. Nasi Dagang can also be considered as a festive dish in Kelantan because it is prepared at home for the morning of Eid ul-Fitri, a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, to be eaten as a breakfast before or after the Eid prayers in the mosque.

Since its inscription has a World Heritage Site, George Town, Penang, has developed itself as a vibrant showcase for street art. This began with Marking George Town in 2009, which brought the telling of street and social history through the use of caricatures. The project, which showcases the works of cartoonists such as Tang Mun Kian and Baba Chuah, has helped generate awareness of the rich history of the streets.

A FAMOSAPortuguese fortress located in Malacca, Malaysia. It is among the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Asia. The Porta de Santiago, a small gate house, is the only remaining part of the fortress still standing.
In 1511, a Portuguese fleet arrived under the command of Afonso de Albuquerque. His forces attacked and defeated the armies of the Malacca Sultanate. Moving quickly to consolidate his gains,
Albuquerque had the fortress built around a natural hill near the sea. Albuquerque believed that Malacca would become an important port linking Portugal to the Spice Route in China. At this time other Portuguese were establishing outposts in such places as Macau, China and Goa, India in order to create a string of friendly ports for ships heading to China and returning home to Portugal.
Malacca (Malay: Melaka, dubbed “The Historic State” ) is the third smallest Malaysian state after Perlis and Penang. It is located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Straits of Malacca. It borders Negeri Sembilan to the north and Johor to the south. The capital is Malacca City, which is 148 km south east of Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 km north west to Johor’s largest city Johor Bahru, and 95 km north west to Johor’s second largest city Batu Pahat. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.
Although it was the location of one of the earliest Malay sultanates, the monarchy was abolished when the Portuguese conquered it in 1511. The head of state is the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or Governor, rather than a Sultan.
LEGOLAND Johor Bahru
Legoland Malaysia is a theme park that has opened in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia on September 15, 2012 with over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions. It is the first Legoland theme park in Asia upon its establishment. The official opening of Legoland Malaysia was made by Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor on September 22, 2012.[2] It is the centrepiece of a 5,500,000 sq ft (510,000 m2) integrated complex in the Nusa Cemerlang industrial park, within the Iskandar Malaysia economic region, consisting of a lifestyle retail centre, offices, hotels, service apartments and residential units.

The parks are marketed to families with younger children (11 and under), and although they have a number of roller coasters, they are not as numer-ous or as extreme as those in other parks, and there is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for younger children.
The parks are split into various areas, which are common between the parks. For example, all four of the parks include a Lego miniland, a model village which includes models of landmarks and scenes from around the world made from millions of genuine Lego bricks. Other features include a Lego Mindstorms centre (fun-based learning), Duplo Gar-

dens (for smaller children), Driving area (including attractions such as Driving school, Boating school, Ballooning school, Flying school, and Fire Academy), My Town, Wild Woods, and Knight’s Kingdom.
The parks’ rides are all Lego themed; many are made to appear as if they are built out of Lego bricks. They tend to be based on one particular line of Lego: for example, a popular ride at all four parks is the Dragon Coaster, which is loosely based on the Knights’ Kingdom Lego sets. Another popular ride is the Driving school, in which children can drive small electric cars made to look like Lego cars around a small road network, after which they gain a mock driving license. The exact set of rides varies between parks, although as with the Disney parks there is some overlap.
