Home from HospitalWhen you’re having a stay in hospital, some extra support ready for you at home can be just what you need to leave hospital sooner and ease the transition to being back at home. Our caring and professional teams of nurses, care and support workers are on hand to give you just the support you need, from a short daily visit right up to 24-hour specialist nurse cover for more complex needs. The second part of our care process is probably the most important – as-sessing your needs correctly to ensure the care we deliver meets your ex-pectations. The assessment process starts initially on the telephone when discussing someone’s requirements, but will be followed by a member of the local Prestige Nursing + Care branch conducting a free home visit to assess everything relevant to the safe delivery of the care, along with answering any further questions you might have.

One of our guiding principles is that the quality of our care and nursing staff is integral to our Care at Home serv-ice. We take great care to ensure that each and every applicant who wishes to join Prestige Nursing + Care must go through a vigorous recruitment and vetting procedure before they are accepted on to our register. We conduct 20 separate checks on each applicant including a Criminal Records Bureau check, proof of identity, 2 writ-ten references, employment history, competency analysis and work permit authentication.

We verify training records and ensure that all staff have up to date training us-ing our mandatory Health and Safety and Care Foundation courses. Once

staff have successfully joined Prestige Nursing + Care we conduct regular reviews of their performance using feedback from those for whom they care. With such attention to detail it is not surprising that Prestige Nursing + Care staff are widely regarded as some of the best in the industry.
