• Spilled gasoline and it’s vapors can be-come ignited from cigarette sparks,electrical arcing, exhaust gases, and hotengine components such as the muffler.

• Shut off engine and allow it to cool beforeadding fuel to the tank.

• Use care in filling tank to avoid spilling fuel.Move pressure washer away from fueling areabefore starting engine.

• Heat will expand fuel in the tank whichcould result in spillage and possible fireexplosion.

• Keep maximum fuel level ½" below top oftank to allow for expansion.

• Operating the pressure washer in an ex-plosive environment could result in a fire.

• Operate and fuel equipment in well ventilatedareas free from obstructions. Equip areas withfire extinguisher suitable for gasoline fires.

This product may not be equipped with a spark arresting muffler. Ifthe product is not equipped and will be used around flammable ma-

terials, or on land covered with materials such as agricultural crops, forest, brush,grass, or other similar items, then an approved spark arrester must be installed and islegally required in the state of California. It is a violation of California statutes section130050 and/or sections 4442 and 4443 of the California Public Resources Code, unlessthe engine is equipped with a spark arrester, as defined in section 4442, andmaintained in effective working order. Spark arresters are also required on some U.S.Forest Service land and may also be legally required under other statutes and ordi-nances.

Engine exhaust contains chemicals known, in certain quantities, tocause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

• Materials placed against or near the pres-sure washer can interfere with its properventilation features causing overheatingand possible ignition of the materials.

• Never operate pressure washer in an areacontaining dry brush or weeds.

• Muffler exhaust heat can damage paintedsurfaces, melt any material sensitive toheat (such as siding, plastic, rubber, orvinyl), and damage live plants.

• Always keep pressure washer a minimum offour feet away from surfaces (such as houses,automobiles, or live plants) that could be dam-aged from muffler exhaust heat.

• Improperly stored fuel could lead to acci-dental ignition. Fuel improperly securedcould get into the hands of children orother unqualified persons.

• Store fuel in an OSHA approved container, ina secure location away from work area.

• Use of acids, toxic or corrosive chemicals,poisons, insecticides, or any kind of flam-mable solvent with this product could re-sult in serious injury or death.

• Do not spray flammable liquids.

• Breathing exhaust fumes will cause seriousinjury or death!

• Operate pressure washer in a well ventilatedarea. Avoid enclosed areas such as garages,basements, etc.

• Never operate unit in a location occupied byhumans or animals.

• Some cleaning fluids contain substanceswhich could cause injury to skin, eyes, orlungs.

• Use only cleaning fluids specifically recom-mended for high pressure washers. Followmanufacturers recommendations. Do notuse chlorine bleach or any other corrosivecompound.

• Your washer operates at fluid pressuresand velocities high enough to penetratehuman and animal flesh, which couldresult in amputation or other serious injury.Leaks caused by loose fittings or worn ordamaged hoses can result in injectioninjuries. DO NOT TREAT FLUIDINJECTION AS A SIMPLE CUT! See aphysician immediately!

• Never place hands in front of nozzle.• Direct spray away from self and others.• Make sure hose and fittings are tightened

and in good condition. Never hold onto thehose or fittings during operation.

• Do not allow hose to contact muffler.• Never attach or remove wand or hose

fittings while system is pressurized.

• To relieve system pressure, shut off engine,turn off water supply, and pull gun triggeruntil water stops flowing.

• Unplug any electrically operated productbefore attempting to clean it. Direct sprayaway from electric outlets and switches.

• Do not use acids, gasoline, kerosene, orany other flammable materials in thisproduct. Use only household detergents,cleaners and degreasers recommended foruse in pressure washers.

• Wear protective clothing to protect eyesand skin from contact with sprayedmaterials.

• Fuel or oil can leak or spill and couldresult in fire or breathing hazard, seriousinjury or death can result. Fuel or oil leakswill damage carpet, paint or othersurfaces in vehicles or trailers.

• If pressure washer is equipped with a fuelshut-off valve, turn the valve to the offposition before transporting to avoid fuelleaks. If pressure washer is not equippedwith a fuel shut-off valve, drain the fuel fromtank before transporting. Only transport fuelin an OSHA approved container. Alwaysplace pressure washer on a protective matwhen transporting to protect against dam-age to vehicle from leaks. Remove pressurewasher from vehicle immediately upon arrivalat your destination.

• Reactive force of spray will causegun/wand to move, and could cause theoperator to slip or fall, or misdirect thespray. Improper control of gun/wand canresult in injuries to self and others.

• Do not overreach or stand on an unstablesupport. Grip gun/wand firmly with bothhands. Expect the gun to kick when trig-gered.

• If proper starting procedure is notfollowed, engine can kickback causingserious hand and arm injury.

• If engine does not start after two pulls,squeeze trigger of gun to relieve pumppressure. Pull starter cord slowly untilresistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidlyto avoid kickback and prevent hand orarm injury.

• The spray gun/wand is a powerful clean-ing tool that could look like a toy to achild.

• Keep children away from the pressurewasher at all times.

• Always secure trigger lock when wand is notin service to prevent accidental operation.

• Never permanently secure trigger in pullback (open) position.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: The pump on this unit ismaintenance free and requires no oil, Ifthere is a problem with the pumpcontact an Authorized Service Center.

5. Connect wand to gun. Tightensecurely.

4. Attach highpressure hose togun. Tighten securely.

1. Place the nozzle holder onto thepanel (located on the handleassembly) and push each nozzleholder into place.

2. Remove five colored quickconnect nozzles from plastic bagand insert them into correctgrommet on the nozzle holder.NOTE: Nozzles are color coded tomatch colored nozzles on panel.

3. Place handle assembly onto frame,depress the snap buttons, and slidethe handle assembly onto the frameuntil snap buttons snap into place.

BASIC ELEMENTS OF APRESSURE WASHERHigh Pressure Pump (located insidethe shroud): Increases the pressure ofthe water supply.

Engine: Drives the high pressurepump.High Pressure Hose: Carries thepressurized water from the pump tothe gun and spray wand. Spray Gun: Connects with spray wandto control water flow rate, direction,and pressure.Quick Connect Spray Wand: Allowsthe user to quickly change out high-pressure nozzles. PRESSURE WASHEROPERATING FEATURESPRESSURE ADJUSTMENTSThe pressure setting is preset at thefactory to achieve optimum pressureand cleaning. If you need to lower thepressure, it can be accomplished bythese methods. 1. Back away from the surface to

be cleaned. The further away youare, the less the pressure will beon the surface to be cleaned.

2. Change to the 40º (white) nozzle - this nozzle delivers aless powerful stream of water anda wider spray pattern.

DO NOT attempt toincrease pump

pressure. A higher pressure settingthan the factory set pressure maydamage pump.

READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL WARNINGS BEFORE STARTING UNITWhen using the high pressure setting, DO NOT allow thehigh pressure spray to come in contact with unprotected skin,

eyes, or with any pets or animals. NEVER fill fuel tank when engine is running or hot. Do notsmoke when filling fuel tank.

NEVER fill fuel tank completely. Fill tank to 1/2" below bottom of filler neck toprovide space for fuel expansion. Wipe any fuel spillage from engine andequipment before starting engine.NEVER run engine indoors or in enclosed, poorly ventilated areas. Engineexhaust contains carbon monoxide, an odorless and deadly gas.DO NOT let hoses come in contact with very hot engine muffler during orimmediately after use of your pressure washer. Damage to hoses from contactwith hot engine surfaces will NOT be covered by warranty.

NEVER pull water supply hose to move pressure washer. Thiscould damage hose and/or pump inlet.

DO NOT use hot water, use cold water only.NEVER turn water supply off while pressure washer engine is running ordamage to pump will result.DO NOT stop spraying water for more than two minutes at a time. Pumpoperates in bypass mode when spray gun trigger is not pressed. If pump is leftin bypass mode for more than two minutes internal components of the pumpcan be damaged.If you do not understand these precautions, please call 1-800-888-2468 tospeak to a service representative for further instructions.

Allowing the unit torun for more than

two minutes without the gun triggerpulled could cause overheating anddamage to the pump.Chemical Injection System: Mixescleaners or cleaning solvents with thewater to improve cleaningeffectiveness.Water Supply: All pressure washersmust have a source of water. Theminimum requirements for a watersupply are 20 PSI and 5 gallons perminute.

TO USE SPRAY WANDThe nozzles for the spray wand arestored in nozzle holder on the panelassembly. Colors on the panel identifynozzle location and spray pattern. Seechart to choose the correct nozzle forthe job to be performed.Changing Nozzles

1. Pull quick connect coupler backand insert nozzle.

2. Release quick connect couplerand twist nozzle to make sure it issecure in coupler.

* The high pressure spray from your pressure washer is capable ofcausing damage to surfaces such as wood, glass, automobile paint,

auto striping and trim, and delicate objects such as flowers and shrubs. Before spraying,check the item to be cleaned to assure yourself that it is strong enough to resist damagefrom the force of the spray.

STARTINGPrior to starting, refer to your enginemanual for proper startingprocedure.1. In a well ventilated outdoor area

add fresh, high quality, unleadedgasoline with a pump octanerating of 86 or higher. Do notoverfill. Wipe up spilled fuel beforestarting the engine. Refer toEngine Owners Manual for correctprocedure.

2. Check engine oil level. SeeEngine Owners Manual for correctprocedure.

3. Verify thefilter screen isin water inlet ofpump. NOTE:Cone sidefaces out.

4. Connect watersource to pump inlet.NOTE: Water source must provide aminimum of 5 gallons per minute at20 PSI.

5. Connect high pressure hose topump outlet.

6. If applying a chemical orcleaning solution, see How ToApply Chemicals/CleaningSolvents instructions in thissection.

7. Turn water source on. NOTE:Failure to do so could causedamage to the pump.

HOW TO APPLY CHEMICALSAND CLEANING SOLVENTS Applying chemicals or cleaningsolvents is a low pressure operation.NOTE: Use only soaps and chemicalsdesigned for pressure washer use. Donot use bleach.To Apply chemicals:1. Press chemical

hose onto barbedfitting locatednear highpressure hoseconnection ofpump as shown.

2. Place other end of chemical hosewith filter on it into containerholding chemical/cleaning solution.NOTE: For every 7 gallons of waterpumped 1 gallon ofchemical/cleaning solution will beused.

3. Install low pressure (black) nozzleinto quick connect fitting of spraywand, see How To Use SprayWand paragraph in this section.

4. After use of chemicals, placechemical hose into container ofclean water and draw clean waterthrough chemical injection systemto rinse system thoroughly. Ifchemicals remain in the pump itcould be damaged. Pumpsdamaged due to chemicals will notbe covered under warranty.

NOTE: Chemicals and soaps will notsiphon when spray wand is in the highpressure setting.

STARTING (continued)8. Start engine. See Engine Owners

Manual for correct procedure.NOTE: When engine rope ispulled, pressure starts building inthe gun. If the engine does notstart after two pulls, pull the guntrigger to relieve this pressure.

9. Depress trigger on gun to startwater flow. NOTE: Stand on astable surface and gripgun/spray wand firmly with bothhands. Expect the gun to kickwhen triggered.

10. Release trigger to stop waterflow.

11. Adjust spray for the task beingperformed by changing quickconnect nozzle. See How To UseSpray Wand instructions in thissection.

SHUTTING DOWN1. After each use, if you have

applied chemicals, place chemicalhose into container of clean waterand draw clean water throughchemical injection system to rinsesystem thoroughly. NOTE: Failureto do so could cause damage tothe pump.

2. Turn engine off. See EngineOwner’s Manual. NOTE: NEVERturn the water off with the enginerunning.

3. Turn water source off.4. Pull trigger on spray gun to

relieve any water pressure in hoseor spray gun.

5. See Storage section in thismanual for proper storageprocedures.

4. Remove the high-pressure nozzlefrom the spray wand. Remove anyobstructions with the nozzlecleaning tool provided andbackflush with clean water.

5. Direct water supply into spraywand to backflush loosenedparticles for 30 seconds.

6. Reassemble the nozzle to thewand.

7. Reconnect spray wand to gun andturn on water supply.

8. Start pressure washer and placespray wand into high pressuresetting to test.

HOW TO CLEAN THE WATERINLET FILTERThis screen filter should be checkedperiodically and cleaned if necessary.1. Remove filter by

grasping end andremoving it fromwater inlet of pumpas shown.

2. Clean filter byflushing it with water on bothsides.

3. Re-insert filter into water inlet ofpump. NOTE: Cone side facesout.

NOTE: Do not operate pressurewasher without filter properly installed.

MAINTENANCE

When performingmaintenance, you

may be exposed to hot surfaces,water pressure, or moving parts thatcan cause serious injury or death!Before performing any maintenanceor repair, disconnect spark plugwire, let engine cool and release allwater pressure. The engine containsflammable fuel. DO NOT smoke orwork near open flames whileperforming maintenance.To ensure efficient operation andlonger life of your pressure washer, aroutine maintenance schedule shouldbe prepared and followed. If thepressure washer is used in unusualconditions, such as high-temperaturesor dusty conditions, more frequentmaintenance checks will be required.ENGINEConsult the Engine Owners Manual forthe manufacturer's recommendationsfor any and all maintenance. NOTE:The frame is equipped with an oil drainhole to help make changing the engineoil easier.PUMPThe pump on this unit is maintenancefree and requires no oil, if there is aproblem with the pump contact anAuthorized Service Center.NOZZLE CLEANINGIf the nozzle becomes clogged withforeign materials, such as dirt,excessive pressure may develop. Ifthe nozzle becomes partially cloggedor restricted, the pump pressure willpulsate. Clean the nozzle immediatelyusing the nozzle kit supplied and thefollowing instructions:1. Shut off the pressure washer and

turn off the water supply.2. Pull trigger on gun handle to

relieve any water pressure.3. Disconnect the spray wand from

the gun.

HOW TO REMOVE THEWHEELS1. Using a 1/8" hex

head wrenchloosen set screwin hub collar.

2. Slide hub collarfrom axle and remove the tire.

ENGINEConsult the Engine Owners Manual forthe manufacturer's recommendations forstorage.

PUMPThe manufacturer recommends usinga pump protector/winterizer, such asEXA80, when storing the unit for morethan 30 days and/or when freezingtemperatures are expected. If a pumpprotector/winterizer is not available,*RV antifreeze needs to be run throughthe pump as outlined in the stepsbelow. NOTE: Using a pumpprotector/winterizer or *RV antifreeze isto provide proper lubrication to theinternal seals of the pump regardlessof temperature or environment.

1. Obtain a funnel, six ounces of*RV antifreeze, and 16 - 36 inchesof garden hose with a male hoseconnector attached to one end.

Use only RVantifreeze. Any other

antifreeze is corrosive and candamage pump.2. Disconnect spark plug wire.3. Connect length of garden hose

to water inlet of pump.4. Add *RV antifreeze to hose as

shown.

5. Pull engine starter rope slowlyseveral times until antifreezecomes out of high pressure hoseconnection of pump.

6. Remove garden hose from waterinlet of pump.

7. Reconnect spark plug wire.*Windshield washer fluid may also beused

PRESSURE WASHER1. Drain all water from high pressure

hose, coil it, and store it in cradleof the pressure washer handle.

2. Drain all water from spray gun andwand by holding spray gun in avertical position with nozzle endpointing down and squeezingtrigger. Store in gun holder.

3. Store chemical hose so it isprotected from damage.

4. If space is needed, removehandles and replace as shown.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM

Low water supply. Water supply must be at least 5GPM @ 20 PSI.

Leak at high pressure hose fitting. Repair leak. Apply sealant tapeif necessary.

Nozzle obstructed. See Nozzle Cleaning instructionsin the Maintenance section.

Water filter screen clogged. Remove and clean filter.

Defective E-Z start valve. Check with Authorized WarrantyService Center (AWSC.)

Air in hose. Turn off the engine, then thewater source. Disconnect thewater source from the pump inletand turn the water source on toremove all air from the hose.When there is a steady stream ofwater present, turn water sourceoff. Re-connect water source topump inlet and turn on watersource. Squeeze trigger to re-move remaining air
