State Library members cannot use the app to access PressReader.

Login to PressReader

1. Go to the State Library website.

2. Go to eResources and click on eNewspapers and eMagazines.

3. Click on the link to open PressReader.

4. Enter your name and the barcode details (e.g. CSLIBM******D) on the back of your State

Library membership card to login.

5. When PressReader first opens you will see the Publications screen.

6. From here you can:

Browse all newspaper and magazine titles available in PressReader:

1. Use the left-hand menu to browse by Countries, Languages, Categories (topics) or by

Publication Types (magazines or newspapers).

2. Click on the icon to view the magazine or newspaper title.

3. To return to the Publications screen at any time, click on the icon at the top left-hand

side of the screen, and then click on Publications.

Browse the News Feed

1. Click on the icon at the top left-hand side of the screen, and then choose ‘Home feed’

from the menu.

2. Scroll to browse through an unlimited newsfeed of the latest top stories.

3. In the left-hand menu you will see a selection of popular topics. Click on a topic to browse

through the latest in Business, Sports, Entertainment or Opinion articles.

4. Click on the title of an article or on the green arrow at the bottom of the article preview to

open the full story.

Search for a magazine or newspaper title

5. Click in the search bar (look for the magnifying glass icon) at the top right-hand side of the

screen and type in the title you are looking for.

6. Click on the newspaper or magazine title if it appears in the drop-down menu.

7. The latest issue of the publication will open.

8. To read a different issue, click on the arrow next to the calendar icon and date, then select

the date of publication you wish to read.

9. To navigate through a publication:

• Click on the arrows that appear at either side of the screen when you hover over

with the mouse.

• Or click and drag the pages with your mouse cursor.

10. To zoom in and out of a page, scroll in and out using the mouse.
