According to the Centers for Disease Control statistics, “…breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States.” The CDC states that breast cancer “is also one of the leading causes of cancer death among women of all races and Hispanic origin populations,” with over 210,000 women being diagnosed with breast cancer, and over 40,000 women passing away in 2008. “People will be able to write messages to those that they care about to show their support and love,” said WRC Public Relations Coordinator Tiara Dees. “There will be no cost to write messages for the Honor and Remembrance Trees, as we hope to have a more therapeutic effect.” The Women’s Resource Center maximizes the learning experience of every UA student and the greater UA community through outreach, services and advocacy to empower women and encourage their active and equal participation. ### CONNECT WITH US!
