This LITTLE CLUB that BELIEVES IT CAN

    and SO Often DOES…

Today, Luis began leading and guiding the

way for our new Rotary club adventures.

The meeting was rich with conversation and

    with a very informative program.

    CREATE OPPORTUNITIES THAT

    STRENGTHEN THEIR LEADERSHIP,

    HELP PUT SERVICE IDEAS INTO

    ACTION, AND

IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THOSE IN

    NEED.

    Rotary’s Four-Way Test

    Of the things we think,

    say or do

    1) Is It The TRUTH?

    2) Is It FAIR to ALL

    Concerned?

    3) Will It Build and

    Better

    Friendships?

    4) Will It be

    BENEFICIAL to All

    Concerned?

    THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM:

    Apprentices in the Trades

    Al Gonzalez, UA Local 393

Wayd La Pearle, Director of S. Bay Piping

    Industry

Do the youth and/or older people have a choice to enter a career,

which does not require a college degree? Yes!

Al Gonzalez, a resident of San Juan Bautista, opened with the

following remarks. “Many people don’t know about apprenticeship

programs because parents and teachers generally don’t question their

kids about getting into apprenticeship programs. They want them to go

to college…One of the benefits of an apprenticeship program is that

there is no college tuition. There is no debt when you become a Journeyman & as soon as you become an

apprentice, you have health care and a pension. All the training is done at the training center or on the

job. You can start your career, while college students start school. You do get college credit once you

    begin an apprenticeship.”
