Preservation Procedure
1. INTRODUCTION
This document defines the principles and structure to ensure that main equipment and
material are kept preserved during all phases of the project, before taken into site
installation. There are two groups of main equipment for this application, Laundry Waste
Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment Unit. The Laundry Waste Water Treatment
Package is a system for pre-treatment of raw waste water from laundry section before
entering Sewage Treatment Unit for advance treatment.
Compliance with these requirement will be checked periodically during the goods is kept
in the warehouse. Inspection Schedule and Record are attached in the end of this
document for practical application in the job site.

documented or not. When a procedure is documented, the term “documented procedure”
is frequently used.
Sensistive Material: Materials that are susceptible to damage or contamination due to
temperature extremes, improper handling (movement and storage), or incorrect packing.
The materials include those that are perishable, clean, fragile, temperature sensitive,
hazardous chemicals

3. SCOPE OF WORK
There are some external factors which may cause damage during materials storage in
the warehouse or the place where they are kept prior to installation works started, such

This standard defines the principles and structure to ensure that equipment and material
are kept preserved during all phases of the project, before taken into the job site for
installation.
4. PERSONAL REQUIREMENT

All materials are packing correctly for standard land transportation before shipping. Plastic
wrapping is applied for some of electrical materials to prevent rust and dust which have
damage potential when in use.
The packing of all material must be checked 2-3 days before the date of installation. This
is to ensure they are still in good condition and ready to be installed in the job site. Any
damage or improper on the packing should be reported for action required.

10. PRESERVATION PRINCIPLE
The materials construction generally composed from metal and plastic/composite. As a
first fill requirement, there will sometimes oil, grease and liquid chemicals which is packed
separately from main components.
Flow of fresh air in the room or area where the materials are storage should be adequate.
This can be controlled by installing intake and exhaust ventilation fans. The temperature
is also should be maintain in the range of 20 – 35 °C.
When there is water activity near the materials storage location, attention must be taken.
The spilled or excessive water must be able to drain easily to the public sewage line. Any
spilled water on the floor for a long period of time can cause rust on the iron or other
metal. This must be avoided due to the electrical failure or malfunction may arise if
improper action applied. Periodically check carried out in weekly and monthly with the
repair and cleaning.
11. AFTER INSTALLATION
After the flexibel joint installation and before the line testing, it is recomended to perform
an accurate cleaning of the lines to eliminate dirt and any foreign objects that could
seriously jeopardize the tightness between joint and the correct operation of the flexible
joint.
