Corey Barker, son of Shawn Barker and Gwen Sharp, played football his sophomore and senior years, ran track for 4 years, advancing to Area and Regionals his junior and senior year. He did power lifting for 4 years, advancing to Regionals all 4 years, and was in band his freshman, sophomore, and ju-nior years. He played golf and baseball his freshman, junior, and senior years. He plans to attend Clarendon College.

Justin Drake Baxter

J.D. Baxter, son of Car-ol Musick and Brad Baxter, played football and baseball and ran track his freshman year. He attended Buffalo High School where he played football making 2nd team All-district his sophomore and ju-nior years. He returned to CHS his senior year and played football, earning 1st team All-district honors. He fi nished his studies in December and attended Clarendon College this past spring.

Elizabeth Nicole Best

Elizabeth Best, daughter of Lynn and Billy Like, was a Bronco band member for four years, competing at area and participating in the All-Region and Senior Honor Band, and a Junior Historians offi cer for two years. She was a two-time regional competitor and state qualifi er for National History Day. She has been a member of the FUMC youth for fi ve years. She plans to attend Clarendon College and West Texas A&M and major in Library Science.

Maritta Brady, daughter of Kennith and Christina Brady, was a UIL competitor in Spell-ing and Computer Applications for four years. She competed in the state Spelling competi-tion three years. She will com-pete in the state Computer Ap-plications competition for the fi rst time this year. She was a member of the band for one year and part of the One-Act Play cast for two years. She competed in the National His-tory Day Competition, earning

Sarah Michaela Bryant

Sarah Bryant, daughter of Jay and Kimberly Powell, was on the yearbook staff for three years, serving as editor one year. She was a UIL competi-tor in Computer Applications for two years. She participated in various community services including the Donley County Senior Citizens bake sale, the Veteran’s luncheon, the School Board dinner, and a fundraiser for Susan G. Komen in the Greater Amarillo Area. She is also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She received credit hours prior to high school by participating in the People to People Student Ambassadors program and taking a trip to Japan. Sarah plans to go to Amarillo Col-lege and West Texas A&M University to get a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a master’s in Counseling.

Tyler Robert Burch

Tyler Burch, son of Shan-non Burch, played football for the Clarendon Broncos for four years, advancing to

area his sophomore year and bi-district his junior year and attaining second team all dis-trict for punting and kicking. He played basketball for three years, advancing to state his sophomore year and area his junior year. He also ran track for three years. Tyler partici-pated in UIL as a member of the science team for 2 years making it to area his sopho-more year. He was a member of the UIL One Act Play his senior year. He also played in the High School band his freshman and sophomore year.

Tyler will be playing foot-ball for Hardin Simmons Uni-versity in the fall and plans to major in Business Manage-ment.

Jency Evelyn Morgan Burton

Jency Burton, daughter of Darrell and Julie Burton, was a cheerleader her sophomore year and played basketball and softball for four years. She also ran track and cross coun-try. She was a member of the band for four years as part of the color guard and the drum line. She was a UIL competitor in Ready Writing and Feature Writing, advancing to region-als her junior and senior years. She was involved in Student Council for four years, serving as secretary her junior and se-nior years. She plans to attend Amarillo College in the fall.

McKayla Cartwright, daughter of Michelle Weather-ton, played basketball for four

years, getting new-comer of the year award her freshmen year, offensive player of the year award her sophomore and junior year, all-district team and regional team award her junior and senior year, and of-fensive MVP award her senior year. She ran cross country for three years and threw shot put and discus for four years, ad-vancing to Area and Regionals her freshmen, sophomore and senior year.

She also participated in softball and was a representa-tive in student council.

McKayla volunteered in community services such as bake sales, coat drives, and or senior citizens. She will attend Clarendon College in the fall to continue playing basketball.

Anna Raquel Ceniceros

Anna Ceniceros, daughter of Jose and Isabel Ceniceros, was student council presi-dent, NHS vice-president, FCCLA treasurer, and presi-dent of the Science Quiz Bowl Team. She played basketball for four years, advancing to the regional tournament with her team her junior and senior years. She ran cross country for 3 years and participated in track. She participated in band as a fl ag girl her fresh-

man and sophomore years. She was a UIL competitor in Social Studies and part of the regional qualifying spelling team her sophomore year. She helped with numerous volun-teer activities such as holding a dance which raised $200 for an animal shelter and assisted in making blankets for CPS children. After graduating, she will attend West Texas A&M University. She hopes to ma-jor in Biology and then apply to the Baylor Dental school in Dallas to become a dentist.

Trevor Howard Cobb

Trevor Cobb, son of Craig Cobb and grandson of Danny and Janice Bennett, played varsity football for four years, varsity basketball for one year, tennis for one year, and varsity baseball for three years. He also ran track for two years. His junior year, Trevor was awarded all-state honors and named Defensive Player of the Year in football. As a senior, he joined the Pigskin Review Super Team and was selected to play in the Childress Rotary Greenbelt Bowl. He plans to attend San Angelo University in the fall to become a chiro-practor.

Lydia Howard, daughter of Bruce and Gwynne Howard, is valedictorian of her class. She competed in UIL Science for four years, winning multiple championships and advancing to the state meet three years. She competed in Journalism for three years and won a state championship in Headline Writing. Lydia received the United States Academy All-American Scholar Award and was recognized in the Amarillo Globe News Academic Spot-light. She ran cross country for three years and played basket-ball for four years, serving as team captain and advancing to the Regional Tournament her junior and senior year. She has been actively involved in her church the past four years, par-ticipating in numerous mission trips, Vacation Bible School programs, and outreach for se-nior citizens. She plans to at-tend Amarillo College in the fall and major in Elementary Education.

Ryan Isbell, son of Buddy Isbell and Carol Beitel, played football 4 years and was named second team all-district kicker and honorable mention linebacker his senior season,

played baseball every year ex-cept his junior year. He also took part in track and golf. He was in varsity choir the fi rst three years. He attended high school at Boerne High, Sny-der High, Austin High, and Clarendon High School.

Trajen Johnson, son of Cheryl and Kevin Johnson, played football and ran track for 4 years, advancing to Area his junior year and to Region-als his senior year. He played baseball 2 years and basketball 3 years, advancing to Area his junior year and the Regional semi-fi nals his senior year. He was a UIL competitor in calcu-lator and mathematics advanc-ing to Regionals his junior and senior years and advancing in current events his senior year. He has been a volunteer at the Saint Roost Museum for 4 years and helps yearly with their Chuckwagon Cookoff. He will be attending WTAMU in the fall and will be a Pre-Med major.

Matthew Ryan Martinez

Matthew Martinez, son of Jerome and Gigi Martinez, was in the Junior Historians and One Act Play his senior year. He was a member of the Clarendon Bronco Band which went to area his junior year. He was a member of An-nual staff for 3 years and was photo editor his junior and senior years. He takes pic-tures for The Clarendon En-terprise. Matthew will attend Clarendon College in the fall, and then hopes to attend Ama-rillo College to study photog-raphy.

Bryce McCary, daughter of April McCary and Guy Barns, ran cross country 3 years, played basketball 3 years, ran track 2 years, and was a ath-letic trainer for 2 year. She participated in UIL One Act Play for 2 years. She plans to attend Clarendon College for 2 years earning her basics in the LVN program and then

complete her studies at WT.

Austen Chayse McNelly

Austen McNelly, son of Rebecca Dzamko, played football for four years, and threw shot put and discus for four years, advancing to area his junior year and placing fi fth. He competed in power-lifting his senior year, advanc-ing to regionals and placing seventh. He was also involved in tennis. He was a UIL com-petitor in Headlines and Edito-rial writing his junior year and Current Events his senior year placing fi fth in Editorials and Current Events. He served as a class offi cer for two years, serving as the Parliamentarian his junior year and Vice Presi-dent his senior year.

Austen plans to attend Wayland Baptist University to play football and major in Mathematics.

Elizabeth O’Rear, daugh-ter of Kristi Crump and John O’Rear, was a cheerleader for 3 years, played basket-ball for 4 years, ran track and cross country for 3 years, par-ticipated in powerlifting for 3 years, competed in UIL oral reading for two years and One Act Play for four years, and played tennis for 3 years. She was a member of the Gifted and Talented program for 4 years. As a senior she was vice

Mitchell Ross Parry

Mitchell Parry, son of Jes-sica Wright and Leonard Par-ry, currently resides with his grandparents Mitchell and Mary Martin. He played foot-ball and baseball for 4 years and played basketball for 3 years. He was in band 3 years getting straight ones, the high-est possible score for march-ing band. Mitchell plans to attend a police academy soon after graduating. His interest is to be a police offi cer for a big city and to earn a spot on the S.W.A.T team.

Tyler Kenneth Pickens

Tyler Pickens, son of Ste-ven Pickens, transferred to Clarendon his senior year. Pri-or to that, he was active with the 4-H swine project both his freshman and sophomore years. He participated in Spe-cial Olympics by competing in bowling, swimming, bas-ketball, and track. He lettered his junior and senior years in baseketball and track. Tyler completed one year of both supervised and unsupervised employment with the Whites-boro ISD and job training in Clarendon. He has worked at

Lowes Grocery Store, Dairy Queen, and Pizza Hut. He cur-rently lives and works in Ama-rillo.

John Cagle Pigg

John Pigg, son of Jenifer and Glyn Pigg, played football for four years and was elected team captain his senior year. He served as district FFA pres-ident his sophomore year. He was an active member in 4-H offi ces at the county and dis-trict level, serving as county and district president his se-nior year when he was elected into State 4-H Council. John received the Jerry Hawkins Award his senior year for be-ing high point individual at the Clarendon College Livestock Judging Contest. He plans to attend Clarendon College to compete in collegiate live-stock judging and to major in Social Sciences with a minor in Agribusiness.

Amanda Powell, grand-daughter of Brenda McConnell and the the late Wade McCo-nnell, ran track for her fresh-man, sophomore, junior, and senior years and advanced to Area and Regionals her sopho-more, junior, and senior years. Chance CodyRoland

Chance Roland, son of Latonya Hoke, ran track his sophomore year and played varsity football his senior year. His hobbies include skating and practicing MMA. After high school he plans to continue working at the Bar-H restaurant, then hopes to travel the world.

Samantha Mae Sanderson

Samantha Sanderson, granddaughter of Ruby Cone, was a bronco cheerleader for one year and served as an offi cer for Student Coun-cil and Junior Historians for three years. She was a state competitor in National His-tory Day for three years and UIL Lincoln Douglas Debate for one year. She has been a member of the FUMC youth

for four years and served as the 2012-2013 Clarendon Li-ons Club Sweetheart. She ran varsity track for four years and also competed in tennis, All-Region band, and One Act Play. She plans to attend Hardin-Simmons University and double-major in Music Performance and American History.

Diego Santos

Diego Santos, son of Miguel Santos and Ramona Santos, played football, bas-ketball, and baseball for 4 years. He received all-dis-trict in basketball and base-ball his senior year, ran track for 4 years, advancing to Re-gionals his senior year. He ran cross country his fresh-man year, played tennis his junior year, and played golf his senior year. He was a UIL competitor in prose his junior year and competed in number-sense and mathemat-ics his senior year. Diego has worked at the Clarendon Country Club the past 4 years. He plans to attend either West Texas A & M or Amarillo College to get his teaching degree and to coach.

Jonah is a member of National Hon-or Society and the Gifted and Talented program. He plans to attend Abilene Christian Uni-versity this fall and pursue a degree in Mechanical Engi-neering.

Jentry Shadle, daughter or Che and Linde Shadle, was a cheerleader and played var-sity basketball, softball and ran track all four years. She advanced to State her senior year in the 100m hurdles. She was awarded Lady Bronco of the Year her sophomore year and was named District MVP in basketball her senior year. Jentry was also awarded Aca-demic All-State and received All-Region recognition in bas-ketball. She was a UIL com-petitor in Ready Writing and advanced to Regionals. She was a member of the Nation-al Honor Society and Student Council and has volunteered with many community activi-ties, such as highway clean-up and Vacation Bible School. Jentry plans to attend Texas Tech University where she will major in Interior Design.

Audrey Shelton, daughter of Stan and Melanie Shelton, participated in basketball, soft-ball, track, and cross country for four years. She advanced to the state cross country meet three consecutive years and the state track meet her senior year. She was involved in Na-tional Honor Society, Student Council, UIL academics. She was also an active participant of the marching band for four years. She plans to run cross country and track at Tarleton State University in the fall and major in nursing.

Rowdy Speed, son of Kelly and Misty Speed, played foot-ball for 4 years, played varsity baseball for 4 years, threw in track for 3 years, advancing to regionals his senior year. He volunteered to help the Cham-ber of Commerce set up 4th of July festivities and helped with food drives He plans to go to college to seek a career in criminal justice or environ-mental science. He hopes to be a game warden.

worked part time at Lowe’s grocery store for 2 years, joined the Lions Club his se-nior year, and helped clean an adopt a high-way. He joined the army as a M1 Armored Crew Member or tanker. He gets shipped out August 12 for basic training in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Brandon Ray Thomas

Brandon Thomas, son of Becky Rattan, had perfect at-tendance for 4 years, volun-teered at the VFW, and helped remodel LaVelle’s Coffee shop where he currently works. He is planning to attend Vernon Junior College in the fall.

Lora Elizabeth Thornton

Lora Elizabeth Thornton, daughter of Steven Ray and Ann Marie Thornton, was a basketball manager her fresh-man and sophomore years. She has worked as a part-time employee at Lowe’s grocery store since the middle of her sophomore year. During the beginning of her senior year, she started working there as a full-time employee. She par-ticipated in community fund-raisers such as bake sales for the senior citizens building, animal shelter, or by making blankets for foster kids. Af-ter graduation Lora is going to Clarendon College for ba-sics; then she plans to get a

bachelors degree in business management and a masters degree in teaching to become a elementary teacher. She also plans to study to be a personal fi nance teacher.

Adam RemingtonTopper

Adam Topper, son of Jeff and Lana Topper, played foot-ball, basketball, baseball, and tennis for four years. He also competed in track for two years, advancing to area in shot-put. In basketball, Adam was named Bronco Basketball Player of the Year, All-District MVP, All-Academic Team and All-Region as a junior and Player of the Year, All-District Defensive MVP, All-Region, All-Academic Team, Golden Spread Team, and Amarillo Super Team as a senior. Adam was named to the All-District First Team in baseball his junior year. He was a UIL competitor in Math and a state competi-tor in Science his sophomore year. Adam was also a mem-ber of National Honor Society. He plans to attend West Texas A&M University this fall and major in Criminal Justice.

Iesha Alexis Trevino

Iesha Trevino, daughter of Jose and Denise Trevino, played in band, participated in color guard, and threw dis-cus for one year. She was a UIL competitor in persuasive

speaking her sophomore year. She was in student council and in FCCLA for two years. She was in junior historians and annual staff for three years. She participated in highway cleanup and helped with many different church events. Iesha plans to attend Clarendon Col-lege in the fall to get her basics and then transfer to Sam Hous-ton where she hopes to major in criminal justice.

Cole Christopher Ward

Cole Ward, son of Jamie Durham and Chris Ward, played basketball and baseball for 4 years, played football for 3 years, ran track for 2 years. He was cast and crew for One Act Play for 4 years, advanc-ing to District and Area sopho-more and junior years. He was a UIL competitor in social studies, calculator, and number sense, advancing to regionals his sophomore year. He plans to attend Angelo State Univer-sity this fall. He hopes to ob-tain his athletic training degree and help rehabilitate injured athletes.

Maci Jae White

Maci White, daughter of Bret and Leslie White, ran cross-country, played basket-ball and softball, and was a cheerleader. She was a mem-ber of the Clarendon Bronco

Band. In softball, Maci re-ceived Honorable Mention, First Team All District Player, and was named Most Valuable Player. Maci was a member of Donley County 4H for 12 years. She received the Lady Bronco Fighting Heart award and was nominated to the homecoming court. This sum-mer Maci has been nominated as a candidate for the Green-belt Bowl Queen’s Pageant. In the summer, Maci served the community by preparing and delivering meals to needy chil-dren of Clarendon. She helped with camps for children in softball and cheerleading. In the fall Maci will be attend-ing Amarillo College where she will pursue her degree as a Dental Hygienist.

Cody Lee Wood

Cody Wood, son of Lance and Connie Wood, played bas-ketball and baseball for four years and ran track for three years. In his junior and senior year of basketball, he earned honorable mention and was co-captain of the team his se-nior year. Cody was an active member of the First Baptist Church youth program. He was a student representative for the SHAK program. Cody was inducted into the NHS. He has plans to attend Dallas Baptist University this fall and major in Business Finance.

Austin James Adams

Austin Adams, son of Lon and Nicki Adams, has been very active in FFA and is a member of the state qualifying livestock judging team. He has been Hedley FFA Chapter president and also has served as the Greenbelt District sec-retary his junior year. Austin has been president of his class all 4 years and has been NHS president his junior and senior years. Austin played football for 4 years and received all-district honors. He also played tennis all 4 years, qualifying for regionals his junior and se-nior years.

Austin will attend Clarendon College, where he has received a Livestock Judg-ing Scholarship and will major in Animal Science.

David Vaughn Bell

David Bell is the son of Dana Bell and Leslie Sch-naufer – Bell, of Quail. He played football and basketball for four years in high school. He was also involved in golf, Teens Against Tobacco, and the Student Council his fresh-man and sophomore years. Da-vid attended leadership school in Washington D.C.

David participated in the UIL One- Act Play Contest for four years and was award-ed-Best Actor for two years. During his senior year, he was selected to be on the All Star

UIL Play Cast twice. He also participated in the Hedley Fall theatre production. David was a UIL competitor in social studies and advanced to the re-gional contest in 2012 & 2013.

David was a Boy Scout and has received the Athletic Fighting Heart Award and he has received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for being an outstand-ing American youth twice.

During his high school years, he has been active in the Wellington Methodist Youth and is on the Methodist church administrative board.

David plans to start his col-lege career at Clarendon Col-lege and major in Psychology.

Nicco Jordan Bennett

Nicco Bennett, son of Yvonne Davis and Joe Ben-nett, played basketball his freshman year through his ju-nior year, played football all 4 years. His team made it to the playoffs their sophomore and junior years. Nicco ran track his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. He also made it to area track his freshman and junior years. He participated in cross country his sophomore year, and he dominated the tennis court all 4 years of high school making it to regional’s 3 years in a row.

After graduating, he plans on attending West Texas A&M University, where he will ma-jor in sports science. He plans

Emilee Kay Blum

Emilee Kay Blum, daughter of Dustin and Shelly Blum, at-tended Memphis High School her freshman and sophomore year. Emilee participated in volleyball, track, cross coun-try, and was a cheerleader. She also participated in band. Her fl ute quartet advanced to state her sophomore year and placed third.

Emilee enrolled in Hedley High School her junior year. She continued to be involved in the National Honors Soci-ety after transferring, and has served as Vice President her senior year. One of Emilee’s personal goals has been to complete all her basics for col-lege by the end of 2013. She will meet that goal by Novem-ber of this year.

Emilee plans to attend the Dental Hygiene program at Amarillo College in February 2014.

Tanner Weston Chambless

Tanner Chambless is the son of Bobby and Brandie Chambless. He played football for four years, basketball and track for three years, and ten-nis for two years. Tanner plans to join the Marines in Septem-ber.

Brandon Cole Evans

Brandon Evans, son of Da-vid and Diann Evans, played football, basketball, and tennis all four years. He also partici-pated in track his sophomore year, cross country his sopho-more year, and OAP his senior year. He won district his fi rst year on junior varsity tennis and medaled numerous times throughout his varsity career. He attended the playoffs in football and basketball twice, earning all-district honors in both sports. Brandon plans to attend Clarendon College this fall.

Bryan Adam Evans

Bryan Evans, son of David and Diann Evans, played bas-ketball, football, tennis, and ran track all four years. He also played golf and ran cross country for two years, advanc-ing to regionals his freshman year in cross country. He made regionals in tennis his senior year.

Bryan is still undecided about where he plans to attend college, but he wants to play tennis at the collegiate level.

Kingston, son of Jim and Tashell Kingston, played football for four years, receiving multiple all-district honors all four years, all-re-gion honors his junior year, and all-state honors his senior year. He also played basketball for four years, receiving all-district honors his sophomore and senior years. Coltin ran track one year. He also partici-pated in one- act play for two years, receiving all-star cast in zone and district his sopho-more and senior years. He also participated in FFA all four years and served as the class of 2013 treasurer. Coltin plans to play football for Wayland Baptist this fall while seeking a degree in Fitness Manage-ment Composite.

Karissa Maldonado

Karissa Maldonado, the daughter of Roy & Felice Mal-donado, has worked for two years. She has gone to Hedley School since third grade.

to move to Florida with her brother Roy Jr. Maldonado. She plans to attend a college in Florida and earn her de-gree in cosmetology, to pursue her dream of becoming a hair dresser.

Channing Cole Maul

Channing Maul is the son of Julie and Billy Chadwick. He played football his sopho-more and junior years. He also competed in science UIL his sophomore year. He is going to Texas State Technical Col-lege in Waco, Texas to become an aviation mechanic.

Edwin Andres Munoz Aizaga

Andy Munoz, son of Edwin and Doris Munoz of Quito, Ecuador; and host son of John and Diane Conatser was cap-tain of his freshman soccer team that won its state cham-pionship.

As a sophomore he was voted class president.

During Andy’s junior sea-son, he was chosen as team captain of his soccer team.

As a senior at HHS, Andy played football, basketball, tennis and ran track. He par-ticipated in FFA and one act play, where he was selected to the all star cast at the zone competition.

Andy plans to attend the university in College Place, Washington, where he has signed a letter of intent to play

CJ Renea RitchieCJ Ritchie, only daugh-

ter of Kristi Perry and Billy Ritchie, played tennis for three years, making it to region-als her sophomore and junior years. CJ has attended Hedley School since her fourth grade year. She plans to attend AC in the fall to pursue her degree as a sonographer.

Sierra Cheyenne Wheatly

Sierra Wheatly is the daughter of Andy and Con-nie Wheatly, and has attended Hedley all 13 years of school. She has played basketball all

four years and has participated in horse judging for two years. She has held the position of her class’s Vice President all throughout high school, also. Sierra plans to attend Amarillo College in the fall to fi nish her basics. She will transfer to a university to obtain a degree in health sciences.
