FREE TRAINING CLINICGet down to Trevor Barker Oval next to the Main Stage, Sandringham at 2.45pm on Saturday 11 February for a FREE

training session. You’ll have a chance to familiarise yourself with the location, build on skills from clinic one and the

opportunity to jump in and learn successful open water swimming techniques for race day. Make sure to bring your

bathers, swim cap, goggles and wetsuit.

ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR PACK:Attach your SECURITY BAND on your wrist. This will allow you access into the transition area.Place your BIKE STICKER on the center of your handle bars/head stem and your HELMET STICKERS on the right hand side of your helmet and on the front.Proceed to the ARM NUMBERING area where you will have your race number written on your RIGHT ARM and your RIGHT THIGH, and race category letter written on the back of your RIGHT CALF.

SPRINT/MINICollect your pre-packed race envelope that will contain:

a coloured security wrist-banda Velcro timing ankle-band with a timing chip attacheda bike & helmet security sticker and a swim cap.

SAVE TIME!Pre-number yourself before arriving at the event site! All you need is a black marker.Proceed to the bike compound and place your bike on the rack where your race number is, or as directed by the marshals. Please ensure that your helmet is securely fastened and your security band is on in preparation for your security check as you enter the transition. You cannot leave bags in the transition area.Attend race briefing on the beach. Approximately 10mins prior to start of 1st wave.We have full road closures, however please be aware that local resident vehicles will use the designated slip lane on course. Always be aware of other cyclists on the road and keep left.Marshals will be in transition to assist any participants who may need help.

BLACK TIMING BANDS: EVERYONE MUST RETURN THEIR TIMING BANDS AT THE FINISH LINE.

SCHOOLS AND CLUBSAll Triathlon Schools and Clubs attending have been given the opportunity to set up their marquees in our schools and clubs area to use as a base for their team. To book a marquee please download the marquee form from our website.

ROAD CLOSURES AND PARKINGBeach Road will be closed to traffic from South Road, Brighton to Balcombe Rd, Black Rock from 6.00am – 11.00am. Parking is available on side streets off Beach Road. Please check parking restrictions.

CLOTHING DROP OFFA bag drop will be located at the event site for free storage of your clothing during the event. Please do not place any valuables in the bag drop area, as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.

BEGINNERS AND 1 TIMERSWould you like to be treated like a VIP? Do you need a hand in transition or help finding out how to set up your race gear?

We’re here to help you! If you feel like you might need some assistance, simply grab a FLURO YELLOW band to put around

your seat pillar and marshals and Triathlon Victoria officials will help you accordingly. Bands can be collected from the entries

marquee.

MEDAL COLLECTIONAll kids participants will receive a medal of completion when they cross the finish line.

WAVE STARTSParticipants will be segregated by age and gender on the beach.Age groups completing the 100m swim will be sent off in the following order: Male 7 years, Female 7 years, Male 8 years, Female 8 years, Male 9 years, Female 9 years and Multiclass.Age groups completing the 200m swim will then be sent off in the following order: Male 10 years, Female 10 years, Male 11 years, Female 11 years etc. and Multiclass.

Wave size is guaranteed to be kept under 20 participants.Water depth MAY BE over the head of any participant, and therefore all children are expected to be able to swim this distance. Water safety will be supervising participants if they require assistance during the swim leg. All kids must wear the supplied swim cap, contained in the race kit.

BIKE COMPOUND All bags should be removed from transition prior to transition closing for the start of the event.SWIM May swim any stroke to move forward

May tread water, float, hold buoy/paddleboard or stand on the bottom for a rest, but must not make forward progress whilst doing this. Should raise an arm overhead and call for assistance in an emergency. May wear wetsuits depending on air and water temperatureCYCLE Must wear footwear and a top Must wear an approved helmet
