•2,500 OVC received care and support services: nutrition, schooling, and livelihoods•98 self support groups with 2,269 members
Results: Changes from 2009-11
•Currently in school (83.5% vs. 96.2%)•Enough food to eat (77.3% vs. 83.5%)•Reduction in number of daily meals (53.1% vs. 39.2%)
Conclusions and Recommendations:• Significant increase in OVC’s regular access to school • Socio economic status as measured by secure access to
food improved significantly• Community based programming helps OVC remain in
family centered support structures.
