TECHNOLOGY

CONCEPT

-When students enter the school premises, all they have to do is to flash their card by a bar code reader.

-The bar code device will beep if your ID is valid and it will give off a different sound if your ID's not valid.

-If the machine identifies the person the automated pivot barrier will automatically open.

It only identifies the students who are enrolled on the current semester.

It only identifies the personnel who are currently working inside the university.

If there are visitors, the security guard will input the names of the visitors then the guard will manipulate the automated pivot door to let the visitors enter the university.

FEATURES

-The advantage of this system is that there will be no more ID verification at the start of every semester.

-When a student enrolls, the barcode of his ID will be automatically updated to signify that he is a student of Laguna State Polytechnic University.

-All the records of the students, faculty, employees, and visitors are stored in a database.

-Can retrieve the records of the students, faculty, employees, and visitors through USB flash disk.

-The College Dean, OSAS or Registrar can post message regarding to the students status via network.

-The can still perform its task without computer using microcontroller.

-Door stops access after one door bar rotation.

-There are two monitors.

One can display the student’s/employee’s information.

The other one can display the message posted about his status.

-One of the system’s purposes is for attendance.

-There is a daily report.

-Lost ID's which have been recovered can not be passed on to another person for use, because once lost ID's are reported lost, they are immediately invalidated.
