Plans for final product

Including Style sheet, Flat plans and practice plans

Page 2: Presentation1

Style Sheet- FontThis is the Font i will use for the Masthead will be written in. this was chosen due to the funky, clear writing which stands out to the audience.

This is the font the Cover lines will be written in. It is easy to read and is bold which will stand out to the audience.

I chose this because it is easy and simple to read and has a modern feel to it, which fits in with the young audience.

Style Sheet- Photography

I am going to use simple straight forward images of the main artist because they are easy to see and instantly indicate what the main article will be about.

I am also going to use images of the artist when they are doing concerts etc. as I think this is quite different to other magazines but still portrays an image of the artists. This will also link into some of the article subject maters and competitions.

Style Sheet- Colour Scheme

I chose these three colours due to the simplicity and their boldness. They are also common colours for this genre, which I have found out through my research.

I chose this red due to the research I earlier took out. This deep colour is common among existing products within this genre. This will make the product more recognisable.

I chose this red due to its brightness. It will help the product stand out and is common among magazines advertising something special (E.g. Competitions). This being what I will use it for.

This black is bold and will help the magazine stand out. It is also good to use to outline important information and is easy to read against any coloured background.

Flat Plans- Front Cover

This plan has an interesting layout with the image covering the whole page and a simple layout of all the cover lines to make it simple to read.

This has a simple layout with the image covering the whole page. The Masthead covers along the top making the magazine recognizable to its audience.

This piece has the image covering nearly all of the page but leaving a border around, having the cover lines bleeding into the image.

Flat Plans- Final IdeaThis is my final idea. Here I used an existing image to get a clearer idea of how my final product will look.

The image has covered the whole of the page as this makes the celebrity stand out better and will sell the magazine more as the audience will realise this issue is about them.

The Sub-cover lines at the top let the audience know who else will be featuring in the magazine.

The Masthead is big but will be composed behind the artists head as this states how well known the magazine will be as the celebrity will take over the popularity of the magazine. This also makes the model stand out more.

The cover lines are laid out simply as this makes them easy to read, leaving the audience able to ‘skim-read’ over the text, showing them the main selling points of this issue.

The main cover line is centered in the middle and will be in bigger font to sell the magazine better.

Flat Plans- Contents pageThis contents page has one main image spilling over the page. The cover lines are stated, along with the mast head and main header.

This contents page has 4 main images with a plain background. The images subject matters are stated underneath, explaining the main articles within the magazine.

This contents page has the ‘CONTENTS’ title down the side, challenging existing products. The contents within the magazine is clearly stated down the middle.

Page 8: Presentation1

Flat Plans- Final IdeaThis is my decided final idea for my contents page. With this I decided to present my images on a slant, challenging existing products.

The Masthead is bold at the top of the page, reminding the audience of the magazine.

The cover lines are clearly stated in the middle of the page, making the assessable and easy to read. Having them composed in the middle makes them stand out more, drawing the reader in.

There are three main images these state to the audience what the main article within the magazine are. They also draw the reader in, seeing famous celebrities.

The title ‘CONTENTS’ has been presented ascending down the side of the page. This is challenging existing products and makes it more unique and interesting for the reader.

Flat Plans- DPSThis DPS has the text hugging the images. The text bleeds over the two pages, making the article stand out more. The header and strapline are boldly composed at the top of the page.

This DPS has a simple layout. The splash image is presented over the two page with the main body text written over the top (Being opaque). The Header and Strapline are clearly stated but on the right top corner, challenging existing texts.

This DPS Has the Header and Strapline in the left top corner which is following common conventions of tis text. The text is written in columns making it easier to read and the images are clearly outlined in the second page.

Page 10: Presentation1

Flat Plans- Final IdeaThe Header is clearly composed in the right hand corner. This will stand out to the audience following existing media texts. The header will be in bold text to also help stand out.

The composition of the strapline is also following existing texts and flows after the header making it easier to read and brings the text together.

The Main body is composed in the middle of the page. This bleeds over the gutter onto the second page, presenting the article as important and informative to the audience. The text is also presented in columns as it makes it easier to read and less interrogating for the audience.

The images are presented on the right side of the gutter. This draws the eye across the text, informing the audience on the texts existence when flicking through. The images will also invite the audience in and state what/who the article is about.
