2. Write down as much information as possible Abbreviate when writing Ask questions 3. Visual Learn by seeing Kinesthetic Learn by doing Auditory Learn by hearing 4. Notecards: Keep them organized Make sure to cite your source on the notecard Write down EVERYTHING your thinking. Chances are you wont remember points you dont write down Outlines: Use them when reading or studying a large chapter Help condense information Point out key points Study Guides: Work them more than once Pay special attention to questions you get wrong Try not to use your notes when you do them the second time 5. Do: Study in a quiet place Make sure your study place is comfortable Make sure you study place is adequate (Lighting, Temperature, etc.) Dont: Study in places where there are many distractions Study in a class/place where youre supposed to be doing other work 6. When reading, scan the article first to get an idea of it, then read the entire thing Copy your notes down twice, once when you hear them and again at home. Look up words you dont understand Make up acronym to help remember hard information 7. Do the easiest questions first Read the question at least two times If you encounter a hard problem, skip it and come back to it later Double check your answers if you have time Always go with your first instinct on questions. Chances are, it was the right one Keep a positive and calm attitude 8. Manage your time Make sure that all your binders/notebooks/backpack are clean and organized so that you dont lose anything Organize your notes for easy understanding Keep an agenda to help you remember homework and important dates 9. Chew gum when studying; it improves memory Make sure you eat; you cant study when your hungry Make notecards for easy studying Take organized notes in class Dont be afraid to ask questions Find a good study place 10.
