PRODUCT?

Online Tools 1. I used Mindmeister for our synopsis plot and create an interactive

mind map with images etc. This was great as it let us do it interactively and clear on a website rather then a photograph of a hand written mind map.

2. I used Youtube to find different trailers and film openings which helped us greatly in finding influences for our film opening. This online tool meant we could access thousand of film opening within minutes rather then having to watch films other ways.

3. I used slideshare to present one of my tasks so that it was interactive however it wasn't running on a timer and people could view it at their own speed. This technology is really good to present PowerPoint's on as it can be accessed form anywhere and is a great interactive way to present things.

Online Tools

4. I used the search engine 'Google' because it helped us access things and find out different information that would be helpful for us. This is a technology that makes finding resources and information a lot easier.

5. The art of the title website allowed us to watch different title sequences and learn the conventions of a film opening. it also gave us nine frames of title sequences to help us analysis them and understand micro elements in a film opening,

6. Prezi, was used a lot through the process to do the pre-production tasks and create interactive work. It made the work look more fun rather then a block of text and before this i didn't know it existed but now can make my work more interactive and less boring.

7. I used Blogger to present my work and my preproduction, production and evaluation work. This makes it easy to access everywhere and means I can update my posts anywhere I am, anywhere in the world. Before this I have not used this but have found it to be an effective online tool.

8. We used the online tool free play music which gave us thousands of soundtracks which we could use which were not copyrighted and we could use for our work. Having all of these together on one page was so much easier and it helped me a lot to find the right tracks.

Physical Hardware

Physical Hardware

1. Using the video camera, rather than a phone or iPod meant that the footage was better quality and easier to transfer onto the Mac. The use of the video camera means we can quickly take videos easily.

2. Having a large amount of data on the SD card meant we could get all the footage and keep it in one place. This technology means I could take it with me and plug it into any computer and work on it anywhere

3. The USB cable meant that I could connect the camera to the computer easily and effectively and pass data between the two. The use of the USB helped me as it is faster then emailing or sending the data any other way.

4. The tripod helped us create a steady shot when stationary, this was great for our camera work.

5. We used the Apple Mac as it is created for graphics and entertainment use. So having this computer was good as we used this software and created our video on this.

IMovie – Software Used

We used IMovie as it was one of the better software's available to us. It was great because it was simple to use and effective as we had access to many different transitions, effects, font etc. this made it easier to get everything in one place for me to edit our film opening in.

Most of these tools and software and hardware were new to me and I had to develop my skills within them to get the right information and create my overall product.
