The issue of SAQA’s irregular expenditure was raised.
Matter was addressed by the Board.
Investigation conducted, established that there was no fruitless and wasteful expenditure and the final sign-off was condoned.

Misrepresented qualifications:
Many boards have members who have misrepresented qualifications. Public entities should verify qualifications through SAQA before board members are appointed.
Cabinet has made a decision in this regard and the NQF Amendment Bill will be addressing this issue.
