Updates on various projects

• 10 MW allocated by Rajasthan Govt – Under Execution

• 110 MW MOU signed with Gujarat Govtg j

• 100 MW with Madhya Pradesh Govt

• 5 MW under MNRE scheme in Maharashtra

• EOI from Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan for , y j100 MW

• We could get the above because:• The lowest tariff amongst all other PV or Solar

Thermal developers

• Committed shortest possible timelines

Full control and ownership on technology and • Full control and ownership on technology and supply chain

About our Technology1. A field of sun tracking heliostats

reflects solar heat to a thermalreceiver mounted atop a tower.

2. The focused heat boils water withinthe thermal receiver and producesthe thermal receiver and producessteam.Steam Temp :427 deg CSteam Pressure :59.6 barSteam Flow :13-15 TPH(variesSteam Flow :13 15 TPH(varieswith DNI)

3. The plant pipes the steam from eachthermal receiver and aggregates it atthe turbine.the turbine.

4. The steam powers a standard turbineand generator to produce solarelectricity.

5. The steam then reverts back to water5. The steam then reverts back to waterthrough cooling, and the processrepeats.

Summary

• India has got huge potential for development of MW class Solar Thermal power projects

• STP technology is highly credible, reliable & simple

• Biggest deterrent is high initial cost due to the fact that all critical components of solar block gg g pare imported

• Technology needs initial support in the form of preferential tariff/feed‐in tariff

• Certain level of installed capacity in order to achieve economies of scale, critical p y ,components being imported can be localized 100%

• Capital cost of Solar Thermal Power Project can be brought down to 12 Cr/MW after achieving a installed capacity level of around 500 MW

• Capital cost can be further brought down to  8 Cr/MW at a level of around 1000 MW installed capacity

• By year 2017, tariff of electricity generated from Solar Thermal Project is likely to attain parity with that of coal based thermal power plants
