SOLAR CAR2015
ABSTRACT
.
Solar energy had become practical and affordable
enough to warrant its broad-scale marketing as one of
the primary energy sources of the future .
To design this solar car the energy from the sun is captured and solar panel is used to turn this energy into electrical energy. to power the wheel of the solar
The electric motor then uses this to power the wheel of the solar electrical energy car.
2.0 OBJECTIVES
1.To design a car that used solar energy because Solar energy are long-lasting.
2.To create a save environment product because Solar energy is non-polluting.
3.0 INNOVATION
1. We use 4 solar panel to make the car move faster because the energy generated from the sunlight is maximum.
2. The arrangement of the solar panel is at inclined plane to absorb the sunlight from every angle and make the car to move faster
3.The shape of the car is an aerodynamic to reduce the air resistance and increase the velocity.
4.0 SCIENTIFIC THEORY
Photovoltaic Cells Convert Sunlight into Electricity
A typical silicon PV cell is composed of a thin wafer consisting of an ultra-thin layer of phosphorus-doped (N-type) silicon on top of a thicker layer of boron-doped (P-type) silicon.
An electrical field is created near the top surface of the cell where these two materials are in contact, called the P-N junction.
When sunlight strikes the surface of a PV cell, this electrical field provides momentum and direction to light-stimulated electrons, resulting in a flow of current when the solar cell is connected to an electrical load.
