• Completion of the Amicable Settlement between PPA S.A. and PCT S.A. (COSCO) for the Western Pier III and Petroleum Pier, a new investment of € 230 mil., thus raising the Net Present Value of the PPA S.A. / COSCO Agreement to € 1.1 billion. Annual profits output, after its completion, for PPA S.A. as of € 110 mil. (annually).

• Full approval of the South Expansion Zone for the Cruise pier investment of € 136 mil. with 95% EU Co-financing contribution.

area, with concentrated cultural activities set within a wide green area

Exhibition of significant archaeological sites including the display of Maritime Antiquities

Creation of a network of pedestrian walkways &cycle paths

Exploitation of the building infrastructure reserve within a transformed space for museums & multi-purpose sites for cultural events

Piraeus Cultural Coast Programme explained (2):• Master Plan specifics include a distinction and understanding of the co-existence between

cultural and port activities, aiming to ensure the uninterrupted Port operations and aims to better exploit communal space within the Port and City area

Operation to develop in 3 Phases: Phase I: Maintenance & Operation of

Vessels at Vasileiadi Coast Phase II: Unification of the entire area of the

Cultural Coast with traffic containmentand limitations within the Port areas. Museums and Aquarium development.

Phase III: Abolishment of mooring at HaetionianCoast with extensive space attributed to the Cultural Coast. Relocation of services, restructuring of Port actors and vessels servicingCrete will be required.

Piraeus CCI strengthening ties with the maritime & transport ecosystem (1):

• feasibility study regarding the improvement of its services to all registered companies-members and towards external actors & other economic entities

• wide area of Chamber activity encompassing Piraeus city & expanding in other 19 municipalities including the 3 major ports of the Attica Port System: Piraeus, Lavrio & Elefsis, as well as 7 islands in Saronic sea

• broadening of services (One Stop Shop for Business, General Commercial Registry, Intermediation body for the resolution of commercial litigations, the issuing of Certificates and the validation of Statutes) and overtly expanding to the improvement of daily business transactions within a modern “business centre” and the operation of a web-based unique service point (“web-evep”)

• modernising & simplifying procedures regarding the opening of new businesses and services provided thereafter

• training to working personnel of the heavy and light maritime & shipping industry with the authority to certify skills in connection with recognised and renowned International Institutions. Successful implementation for 1500 unemployed workers and now on going training programme for 2500 persons employed or semi-employed in industrial zone business operations

Piraeus CCI strengthening ties with the maritime & transport ecosystem (2):

• promoting the “forwarding” role of the Port of Piraeus, the re-functioning of the Commodity Exchange of Piraeus, as well as the creation of a special procedure related to the registration of foreign businesses having a Greek Tax Identification Number

• promoting the provision of public services towards the private sector without the impediment of mandatory registration and subscription to the Chamber Registry (although it is still advisable to register and to enjoy a further array of services)

• joining forces with higher education institutions and research foundations, including the provision of an MBA offered on site at Piraeus CCI (with the academic cooperation of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences)

• acting as a facilitator for the wider maritime & shipping cluster initiative, spanning all economic actors and stakeholders
