What IsWhat Is EarthSave?EarthSave?

An organization that advocates eating more wholesome vegan foods and less of those foods derived from animals. This change induces (in all life on Earth) healthier, happier, more stress free and longer lives! It reduces air, water and soil pollution! It greatly reduces our use of water and land for growing food and helps to save the Earth's rain forests! We also advocate taking compassionate action towards all life on Earth!

Final ThoughtFinal Thought

John Robbins, p-282 of his fantastic new book,

“The Food Revolution,”

“What is at stake today is enormous; it is the destiny of life on Earth. At such a time, walking a path of honoring ourselves and the living planet, is our responsibility as citizens of the planet, but it is something more, as well.”

“It is also a joy, and a privilege.”

““I’m a Vegetarian”I’m a Vegetarian”

CHORUS: I’m a vegetarian. My life, the killing transcends.

The animals are my friends, and I don’t eat my friends.

VERSES:

1. Long ago when my daddy was young, he’d hunt and fish with his brothers.

They brought home food for the family, and often shared it with others.

2. When Daddy brought home the bodies of all those creatures who used to run, swim

or fly,

Cut out their guts and fried ‘em in a skillet, I just wanted to cry. That’s

why….CHORUS

Page 61: Presentation in PowerPoint (.ppt) Format

04/14/23 EarthSave Slide 61

““I’m a Vegetarian” - 2I’m a Vegetarian” - 23. Now I’ve learned many other reasons why I should not eat my animal friends.

It harms my body and it hurts Mother Earth, and on her all life depends.

4. For every sixteen pounds of grain you feed a cow, one pound of beef is all you

take away.

It’s inefficient, and it’s inhumane, when 40,000 starve to death each day. That’s

why…CHORUS

5. Salmonella and e coli, the animals contaminate. They say we must irradiate.

Mountains of manure pollute the water and the land. The solution is on my

plate.

Page 62: Presentation in PowerPoint (.ppt) Format

04/14/23 EarthSave Slide 62

““I’m a Vegetarian” - 3I’m a Vegetarian” - 36. Diabetes and osteoporosis, heart disease and cancer –

You can get them all from eating animals. A plant-based diet is the answer.

That’s why…CHORUS

7. Most of the corn and soy that’s grown is used to feed the animals humans eat.

Pesticided land could be returned to native forest if people would stop eating

meat.

8. Factory farming features crowding and cruelty, sickness, filth and misery.

I cannot be a part of all that suffering. They are sentient beings just like you

and me.

That’s why..CHORUS

Page 63: Presentation in PowerPoint (.ppt) Format

04/14/23 EarthSave Slide 63

““I’m a Vegetarian” - 4I’m a Vegetarian” - 4 9. What if aliens came from space and regarded humans as inferior?

Would you like it if they farmed us for food because they thought they were

superior?

10. And did you ever have a special pet? Don’t you think every animal wants to live

A life of freedom and choice, and to them, that is the gift I can give, because …

CHORUS

11. You know the power of one committed person. You know the reasons for a

veggie diet.

Have the courage to make the change. Follow your heart and really try it.

Page 64: Presentation in PowerPoint (.ppt) Format

04/14/23 EarthSave Slide 64

““I’m a Vegetarian” - 5I’m a Vegetarian” - 5

Let’s sing together:

CHORUS: We are vegetarians. Our lives, the killing transcends.

The animals are our friends, and we don’t eat our friends.

Yes, the animals are our friends, and we don’t eat our friends.
