There are many actions that I would demand of the United Nations Secretary General if given the chance. I will cite the most important ones in my opinion.

WHAT I WOULD DEMAND

Instituto de Empresa

WHY: A

These four countries are not members of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and are therefore prohibited to have Nuclear Weapons.

All countries outside the NPT (International treaty to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons) possessing Nuclear Weapons are in violation of said treaty, and may be a serious threat to world peace.

Preventing the spread of Nuclear Weapons under the NPT, means decreasing the risks of a ravaging war and countless deaths, and will prevent history from repeating itself (Nagasaki, Hiroshima).

Furthermore, the possession of these weapons will destabilize the geopolitical area around the countries in question and its neighbors will be threatened.

WHY: B

Some 805 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth.

Poor nutrition is the cause of death of 45% of children under the age of five. 3.1 million children die each year while in other regions of the world children are eating like there’s no tomorrow.

Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.

On the other hand, 1.5 billion people suffer from obesity, almost twice as much as the undernourished. These people are taking more than they can carry and leaving nothing to others that are in dire need of food and water. Thus explaining the inequality in this world.

WHY: C

In April 2015, gunmen stormed the Garissa University College in Kenya, killing almost 150 people and wounding several others.

Also in Kenya in 1998, 224 people perished following a terrorist attack on US embassies.

In 2014, 276 Nigerian schoolgirls were abducted and have yet to be found to this day.

And the list goes on and on.

These attacks are surely not the last. Intervening in Africa should be number one priority. These terrorist and militia groups should be abolished and terminated as soon as possible.

The United Nations as well as all the world should unite and fight against terrorism in Africa and in other regions of the world. They will keep getting stronger and fiercer. They will not stop killing and abducting. The United Nations’ deeper intervention is demanded. They can start by helping and funding the African armies fighting against these terrorist groups.

WHY: D

North Korea is one of the biggest violators of human rights with 120,000 prisoners held in gulags, citizens starved and publicly executed by firing squad.

Chemical attacks used by Government Forces in the Syrian Civil War claiming so many lives.

Qatar’s construction sector rife with migrant worker abuse leading up to World Cup preparation. Up to 12 deaths per week.

Many more examples of human rights’ violation can be given.

The United Nations are asked to step in and resolve such issues. People are suffering and the world is just watching as it happens.

Severe Sanctions should be given to all countries violating Human rights.

All men and women are born equal and have equal rights. It is the United Nations’ job to ensure that equality and human rights are respected and unviolated.
