Objective: To promote and develop an Inter-American Area of Higher Education

that enables leaders and decision makers from Higher Education Institutions to jointly dicuss, examine, and evaluate the strategic aspects of internationalization, with a view to understanding its contribution to quality, regional development, and growth.

By participating in the CAIE, you will have the opportunity to:

Expand your contacts, develop networks, and create new opportunities in the Higher Education sector.

Share views on strategic planning and management, and discuss new models and best practices in the internationalization of Higher

Education. Establish linkages with organizations/associations, and form

strategic alliances for future collaborations.Hold ‘’discussion spaces’’ about various policies, foci, and new

trends in the field of Higher Education, which characterize the Latin American region.

By participating the CAIE, you will have the opportunity to:

Examine priority themes within an Inter-American framework (planning and strategic management, models and best practices), i.e. which are related to the internationalization of higher education from a North-South and South-South perspective.

Participate in the implementation of guidelines, strategic aims and recommendations in the internationalization of higher education that are geared towards organizations and international fora, such as the Organization of American States.
