Notice that you add – S to the verb only in the 3rd
person singular of the afiirmative form
Nancy and James are good friends .They speak good German. Nancy works in a restaurant downtown and James works in a library. The children play in the garden every weekend. James and Nancy visit church together every Friday.

EXCEPTION! when we have the verb to be, we put the adverb after the verb:
