The simple expresses a complited action ( Ive painted the kitchen, and now Im doing the bathroom.) The continuous expresses an activity over a period of time ( Ive got paint in my hair because Ive been decorating) Slide 11 Some verbs have the idea of a long time, for example, wait, work, play, try, learn, rain. These verbs are often found in the continuous. Ive cut my finger.(one short action) Ive been cutting firewood.(perhaps over several hours) Slide 12 Some verbs dont have the idea of a long time, for example, find, start, buy, die, lose, break, stop. Those verbs are more usually found in the simple. Ive got lost my passport. Slide 13 Use your idea. Adapt it for a special purpose. When there is something in the present situation that shows what will happen in the near future. Next year well be living in Antalya. 2. For an action thats part of a plan or arrangement. She will be leaving school in July. 3. As a polite way of asking about someones plan. Will you be watching Sundays film this noon?
