Sold Out SeahawksWith the Seahawks trip to Super Bowl XL and NFC West crowns from 200407 and 2010, Seattles fans do not want to miss
out on seeing their team in action. Since 2003, all but one game has sold out, giving the team 85 consecutive sell outs enteringthis season, including playoffs.
The club renewed season tickets at a franchiserecord 98% and capped season ticket packages at 62,000. The remaining singlegame tickets for the regular season sold out the same day they went on sale which led to the remaining Bing Training Camppractices open to the public to also sell out later that day. In all, more than 35,000 fans attended the teams open camp sessions
Down to the WireSeattle has compiled a 168 record since the final half of the 2011 season and in those eight losses, the margin of victory fo
the opponent has been 4.4 points (35 points). The Seahawks largest defeat since Week 10 (11/13/11) of 2011 was a sevenpoint loss at San Francisco (10/18/12) last season inWeek 7.
CenturyLink(ed) to WinningOne thing that has been a constant from the early days of the Kingdome through the championship years of CenturyLink Field
is that the 12th Man has given that extra edge to the Seahawks when playing in the Puget Sound.
Seattle has the NFCs secondbest home record since moving to the NFC in 2002 with a 5929 record, joining only Green Bay,Atlanta, Philadelphia and Chicago with 50+ wins over that span.

Red Alert: Block PartyThe Seahawks have a force in the middle on their kickblock unit in the form of 323pound defensive tackle Red Bryant.Last season, he blocked his first kick of the season vs. San Francisco (12/23/12) on a 21yard attempt by David Akers that was
picked up and returned 90 yards by Richard Sherman for a touchdown, good for the thirdlongest field goal block return in NFLhistory. It was the first blocked field goal returned for a touchdown by Seattle since Shawn Springs at Green Bay (11/1/99).
Bryant set a franchiserecord with two blocked field goal attempts at Cleveland (10/23/11). He added another vs. Washington(11/27/11), as well as blocking a Redskins PAT, the first for Seattle since the 1995 season, becoming the first player in club historyto accomplish that feat and first in the NFL since Clevelands Shaun Rogers vs. Cincinnati on October 4, 2009. He owns the clubrecord with four blocked kicks in a singleseason (2011).
The soninlaw of Ring of Honor member Jacob Green, Bryant ranks second with four blocked field goals in his career.

Jets (11/11/12), San Francisco (12/23/12) and St. Louis (12/30/12), to returning an interception for a touchdown vs. Arizona(12/9/12) or placing his name in the NFL record book with the thirdlongest return of a field goal for a touchdown vs. San Francisco(12/23/12).
Shermans 90yard return of a Red Bryant block against David Akers ranks as the thirdlongest in NFL history and was thefirst for Seattle since Shawn Springs returned one 61 yards for a score at Green Bay (11/1/99).

Pete Carroll
For Petes SakeDuring Bing Training Camp, Pete Carroll articulated his philosophy to the team again and again in meetings. Repetition, as
Carroll says, is an important method of learning, so it never hurts to lay out the principles and philosophies of the team anothertime.
Hes now given the same speech many times to these Seahawks but it still carries a freshness to it every time as he goesthrough the cornerstones of the organization:
Philosophy: Its all about the ball You win by taking care of the football, Carroll said.Central theme: Competition Practice is everything, its where we make us, Carroll said.Team rules: Always protect the team; no whining, no complaining, no excuses; be earlyStyle: Great effort, great enthusiasm, great toughness and play smart

Delta Delta DeltaTucked away in the corner of the country, Seattles road trips are some of the longest in the nation. The team strives to offe
firstclass amenities and that has not changed this season as Seattle has signed on with Delta Airlines as its 2013 official charter.
The Boeing 767 aircraft will carry the Seahawks around the world (a trip around the world is 25,000 miles) as they trave
the secondmost miles, 28,238, according to the NFL. Four west coast counterparts, including two NFC West rivals, accompany
Seattle in the great blue yonder.

Kick in the PantsSeattle kicker Steven Hauschka took little time to enter his name in Seattles record book as he kicked a franchisetying and
careerhigh five field goals of 22, 38, 39, 35 and 30 yards vs. Baltimore (11/13/11) to help in Seattles 2217 win in 2011. He joins Norm
Johnson (twice), Todd Peterson and Olindo Mare (twice) in his accomplishment.Hauschka also holds Seattles longest attempt (61 vs. Atlanta, 10/2/11 and at Detroit, 10/28/12) in franchise history.
He also converted at least one field goal in 14 straight games (201112), surpassing Todd Peterson (199798) for the longest
streak in franchise history.
His three field goals in the Wild Card Game at Washington (1/6/13) last year set Seattles postseason record.

Virginia Mason Athletic CenterThe Seattle Seahawks announced the completion of the
Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) as the project was com
pleted ontime with the first Seahawks employees staffing thebuilding on August 4, 2008 after spending 22 years in Kirkland.
The stateoftheart training facility is located on LakeWashington and is more than 225,000 sq. ft., second largest inthe NFL. The site is bounded by Interstate 405 to the east, LakeWashington to the west, residential properties to the northand open land to the south. The building sits on 19waterfrontacres, compared to 10 acres in Kirkland.
VMAC was designed as a yearround training facility andsuperior work environment for Seahawks players, coaches andstaff. The first class facility features approximately 50,000 sq.ft of training space including: brand new weight and training
equipment, 146person auditorium and a locker room with 80custom lockers. A 30foot training pool is equipped with theability to video tape the players rehabbing while in the water, allowing for a more effective and efficient workout.
VMAC also features a player lounge which will allow players to relax in between practices and meetings. The loungeincludes a projection television with XBOX, music ports andcomputers to check email and other web sites.
The move was necessary to accommodate growth in several key business segments. The new facility has tripled thefloor space and provides increased production capacity. VMACwill allow the organization to work under one roof as theKirkland front office, Corporate Sponsorships, Suites, FanDevelopment and the Sounders FC staff housed in Renton.
The building is equipped with a permanent indoor practicefacility, an amenity that lacked at the Kirkland facility. The practice facility is more than 88,000 sq. ft. and 112 ft. high (95 ft.clear). The playing surface is the identical FieldTurf that is usedat CenturyLink Field. VMAC will also feature three regulationsize outdoor grass fields, and fans will be able to watch theteam practice during training camp in 2012.
Football Operations and team practices began on Monday,August 18, 2008.
