Classroom Activities
• Introduce students to the context of a Performance Task
• Do not address content information; focus instead on vocabulary and key contextual topics
• Designed to be an introduction and not an assessment
• Not graded

• Collections of questions and activities connected to a single theme
• Measure capacities such as depth of understanding, writing and research skills, and complex analysis
• Taken on a computer (not computer-adaptive)
• Take one to two class periods to complete

– Students requiring more than one day to complete a ‘part’ should take the paper-pencil assessment for this year
NOTE: MI-Access – Functional Independence online tests have been broken into two parts for each content area and have approximately 20-25 questions per ‘part’
