DirectEmployers Association represents 375+ employers, most of which are Fortune 500. Approximately 90% are Federal Contractors.
The creation of our association reflected the need of employers to reduce recruiting costs, while finding the best talent. (2001)
Together the member companies created an association which provides them with relevant industry intelligence, monthly think-tank sessions and of course, a robust internet recruitment tool -- JobCentral.

AJB ceases to exist July 1, 2007
NASWA and DEA created an alliance to fill the void left by the AJB shut down.
Driving the alliance is the fact that our respective members have a common mission – to find job seekers good jobs, and provide employers with great talent.
This unique public private partnership has transformed JobCentral to JobCentral National Labor Exchange (NLX) and has brought DEA’s advanced technology and experienced staff to the table with state workforce agencies.

Jobs are O*Net coded and made available to States on a daily basis
State jobs uploaded to JobCentral are not distributed to partner sites
Members’ corporate career site jobs are automatically indexed to JobCentral daily
JobCentral pushes members’ jobs to partner

44 States have signed Data Sharing Agreements with more in process
35 states are uploading jobs to NLX and 24 states are accepting NLX download of jobs
We are actively educating and encouraging the download, stressing the benefits for local employers and job seekers
Operations Committee created to meet quarterly and determine initiatives of the alliance – consists of 6 states & 6 DEA member companies & members of NASWA and DEA.
