SUCCESS CRITERIA   I can follow instructions  

I recognise imperative verbs 

INSTRUCTIONS  What are imperative verbs?  Have a go at the imperative verb wordsearch  Complete one of the origami tasks or if you prefer, Google an easy origami task  Think about how the instructions are set out.  Look out for the imperative verbs.

LESSON  Fractions of Amounts 

SUCCESS CRITERIA   I can identify equivalent fractions, (using a fraction wall for support if necessary) 

INSTRUCTIONS  Power Maths Book 3C Equivalent Fractions 1 p6-8 If you are stuck, there is a fraction wall on p16, alternatively, use this colour version

SUCCESS CRITERIA   I understand the term ‘equal part’ I can find equal parts I can identify both the numerator and the denominator 

INSTRUCTIONS  Please look at the starter activity below which explains the terms ‘equal parts’, ‘numerator’ and ‘denominator’ Please complete lesson 7 in (we have skipped lesson 6, as I think you are confident with that now)

LESSON  Adding Money 

SUCCESS CRITERIA  

I can add money, adding the largest amounts first I can complete part-whole models I can complete bar models 

INSTRUCTIONS: Look at the slide below, it shows that it is TRUE, counting the largest amounts of money first, is a good method of adding money.  Complete the worksheets below (you can print out a larger version if you prefer, by clicking on the link) and check you have got them right using the answer sheet provided.  

RESOURCES: Pencil, worksheets, coins to counted if wanted, answer sheet to check answers
