the worlds of color which we perceive in our envi-ronment are influenced by:

light, climate, landscape and culture

the specific colour climate of a region has a sub-stantial effect on our well being. Despite an in-creasing globalisation process, we find different worlds of color in different regions. We differenti-ate between uninhabitated regions (natural color worlds) and inhabitated regions (artificial color worlds). they distinguish a region.

Sattler Urban Design

The new colours and designs were developed by Urban Design mainly for the urban space.

They are above all intended for upmarket businesses, hotels, restaurants and international brands that, in choosing their awnings, strive to combine communication, advertising and image with top-level architectural design.

The new design line “Urban Microstripes” by SATTLER is based on subdued colours, which on the one hand perfectly harmonize with various façade types – also historic façades – and on the other hand are printable, for lettering and company logos.

What’s so special about this new design is that the traditional uni-coloured fabrics will be replaced by “mictrostripes” with their unique texture. These fine ton-sur-ton differences lend the fabrics additional value and elegance. In addition, the material is less prone to soiling, a major madvantage in terms of both aesthetics and sustainability.

When we look around us wi-thin the urban space, we see walls and building façades.

In other surroundings, like between buildings, we dis-cover free zones or parks.

Wall Sky Park LightsDuring the day, our environment is lit by the sun and in the evening and at night, street lamps and illuminated windows light up the urban scene.

When roaming freely in our urban space, we have a number of fixed orientation points by which we navigate. these different reference points are also the base for our colour themes.

Sattler UV Protection

In recent years, UV radiation has considerably increased. What

many of us ignore: we are also exposed to UV radiation in the

shade. Choosing a Sattler awning fabric means opting for safe

UV protection. For example the skin of a person rated UV type I

(red or blond hair, blue eyes and a very fair complexion) has an in-

trinsic protection time of approximately five to ten minutes. This

person risks a dangerous sunburn in the case of unprotected

exposure to full solar radiation. Already with a UV index of 40

around 97.5% of the radiation is reflected and absorbed.
