NB: - Diesel Care Fuel Filter Bracket Kits can be plumbed as either a primary or secondary filter system. Primary filters are plumbed before the factory filter and will use a relatively coarser filtration at 30 microns. Secondary filters are plumbed after the factory filter and will use a finer filtration at 5 or 2 microns.

- The addition of a Fuel Manager filtration system will not restrict flow in Common Rail systems.

* Additional items not present in kit include suitable assembly and dismantling tools.

q Remove 10mm Head bolt from top left corner of the fuse box (looking towards the rear of vehicle) and the 13mm Head bolt from the ABS unit mount.

w Place bracket in engine bay with the flat side towards the firewall. Line up the bolt holes on the bracket with the holes for the fuse box & ABS unit. Install bolts and tighten.

e Install the fittings into the Fuel Manager filter assemby. 1x10mm elbow on the inlet port on the right (looking at the front) pointing parallel with the filter. 1x10mm elbow on the outlet port on the left (looking at the front) pointing directly out to front. Install the plugs in the remaining holes. Attach filter to the bracket securely. Apply supplied thread paste sealant Loctite 567 to threads before installing into Fuel Manager Filter assembly. Note that the Fuel Manager has arrows to indicate direction of flow near each threaded hole.

r Remove the BLUE snap on fitting on the filter head (the larger, lower fitting) and the other end of the pipe which is located on the top of the engine a BLUE fitting. (Follow the pipe!) There are also 2 snap clamps holding the pipe securely that need to be opened so the factory pipe can be removed.

t Cut the fuel hose to length and install the BLACK snap fitting to the end of the pipe with a hose clamp. Plug the fitting to the factory filter and install the other end of the pipe to the Fuel Manager Filter assembly with a hose clamp.

y Before completing the next step. Place a receptacle to catch fuel under the outlet of the filter. Turn the key to the ON position to prime the Stanadyne Filter assembly with fuel. Once the filter is full of fuel complete the remaining step.

Using the remaining fuel hose install the GREEN snap fitting to the end of the fuel hose with a hose clamp. Plug the fitting to the inlet male fitting on the top of engine and the other end to the Stanadyne filter assembly with a hose clamp.

u Turn key to on and allow sufficient time for the remaining parts installed to be filled and primed with fuel. Start vehicle and inspect for leaks. Secure any loose lines from rubbing through.
