At the GIS show in 2017 we had the pleasure of sharing an aisle and meeting a fellow Canadian from the Bernhard booth by the name of – Steve Wilson. At so many of these trade shows we all meet some fascinating people, and Steve is one of the many we’ve met over the 30+ years that Bayco Golf has been in the Golf Industry. Steve shared with us that he & his wife were going to be taking part in a climbing expedition to Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia. He suggested that if we could provide him with a Canadian Flag to take on this grueling trek, he would do us proud and fly this Canadian Flag with pride when he reached the 4095M peak (13,435 Feet). He made it (8.5 km, 2-day hike) and did just that as you can see in the picture above.

In his own words: “I almost quit a couple of times. However once you see the sunrise and view from above the clouds, it makes all the physical effort worthwhile. You start day two at 2am and summit around 5:30am in time to see the sunrise.”
