PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The aim of the symposium is to provide quality education, based on practical clinical experience, on all aspects of the nurse’s role related to the management of thyroid disease in children. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the end of the symposium, delegates will understand: The physiology, endocrinology, and clinical features of paediatric thyroid disorders The role and experience of the paediatric endocrinology nurse specialist in the acute and chronic

management of thyroid disorders The presentations, diagnosis, and optimal management of the child with hypothyroidism and

hyperthyroidism The psychology and practical application of adherence management and useful tools for managing

challenging interactions with patients and their families The essential elements of transitional care and transfer of adolescent patients with GH deficiency and
