Have a look at the word UNCOOKED. How can you divide it?
How do these parts add

What does –un and –ed mean?
• Prefix - beginning
• Root – main word
• Suffix - ending

Listen to the PREFIX or SUFFIX? song
In groups, you are going to think of 12 words which have prefixes (preheat), suffixes (baked)
and even both (undercooked)!
Then, you are going to create cards for each part of that word, that is, one card for the prefix; one card for the root word, and one card for the
suffix.
Cut the cards and place them on a plate.
Change plates with other groups.
Let’s see if your group can make all the words!
