GANT CHART

The development of my idea ran over a little as I had a few ideas that I was playing with at the time but settled on re making the short film that I produced last year. I am hoping to film and edit the short film simultaneously. So after each time I film I will put it all into premiere pro and get the editing done alongside the filming. Tis should give me enough time to be able to release the content that I make, and I will be able to evaluate in enough time as well before the deadline of the project.

CONTINGENCY PLAN

Possible issues resolutions

Actors not showing upThis happened a lot last year when I shot this film, and if it does happen again this year I will have to just shoot the shots I can to keep ahead of the game.

The weather

As a lot of my film is outside, the weather could cause a real issue when it comes to the continuity and actors being in the rain, I will have to check the weather so that I know whether I can film so the equipment doesn’t get ruined.

Equipment being lost or stolenA lot of the filming is outside therefore anyone could just take the equipment if it is left lying around. To prevent this I will have someone accompany the equipment at all times and keep an eye on it so that nothing happens

Story lineThe storyline of this film goes off of the short film that I mad last year, but I have modified it to make it more intense and to fit the drama genre more. There will ne a lot more suspense and scenes of action .

Another thing that the storyline has this year is little twists that wont be expected by the audience and will only be revealed at a second look or later on in the film.

SCRIPT

Page 7: PRE-PRODUCTION PORTFOLIO€¦ · PRE-PRODUCTION PORTFOLIO Albie Lewington. GANT CHART The development of my idea ran over a little as I had a few ideas that I was playing with at

This script was written by myself and was written as a guideline for the actors to go off so they can go of the script whilst staying in their character

Dianne Johnson

This is Harley's mum and she doesn't really like Harley and is always getting annoyed at him easily.

Toni Lang

Toni is a part of Darren's gang in dagger bridge. He is very loud and mouthy causes a lot of problems for himself.

Louise Johnson

Louise is Harleys little sister aged 13. she feels bad for Harley a lot of the time as she sees how differently their mother treats him.

Mason Polevoi

Mason is a part of the White tower gang, and is 16 years of age. He has been with the gang since he was 12. he is more quiete from the rest of the gang and forms a connection with Harley.

Stacey Walker

Stacey is Darren's girlfriend, but she has a soft spot for Harley, and Harley does her. They are both scared because of Darren so cant be together

Mohummed Javed‘Mo’ is also in dagger bridge and is tight with Toni, he is very spaced out all the time and doesn’t really know what's going on, and is just basically in a gang for the sake of it.

A few of my initial characters dropped out of the film therefore I will be having to find replacement actors for their roles. These character profiles are for the actors that I chose to see what role they have to take on and can get into the correct character to portray the right feelings to the audience. Although the actors may change their role slightly for them to be comfortable these are just a guideline to get them on the right track of how I want them to act.

Story boardsI have done my story boards on paper so have had to scan then into the computer

The story board that I have done has the rough outline of the shots that I intend to shoot. I imagine that in the final edit there will be more shots as it will be easier to see what I have.

Some of the characters that I have put into the script may change as well as I expect that my actors will not be able to do every day of filming that I initially set out.

The timings that I put in each frame as well are very vague because I dint really know how long a shot will be until I have shot it, as it will depend on how long it takes for the actors to say the lines, and if they add anything extra to make it easier for them.

COPYRIGHT

I could get copyright claims from the music that I am using in my FMPO on youtube4. to stop this I will change the speed or pitch of the songs that that they sound different and cant get copyright on them.

Also if I am using a really popular song I will try to find a cover of the song so that there will be less chance that I receive a copyright claim from YouTube.

As well I will look into wearing branded clothing however YouTube have no issue with promoting other brands on their platform. To keep safe I could ask the actors to wear unbranded clothing or try to tape over any big brands that are seen.

BUDGET

The budget for this film is little to none. The most money that I will be happy to spend on the shoot is around £10. this would cover the props that are needed and it would also be able to get some actors a cab to and from the station if they live far.

In addition to this I might use an extra £10 to promote the film on YouTube and put in front of my target audience a little bit more. I can filter what type of people I want to see the film and I could potentially get a few thousand views if I am able to do this at the end of the project.

I am looking to put this film forward for film festivals. Some film festivals have entry fees therefore I will have to source the money to do this as well if I follow through with this decision.
