Pre ProductionHigh Concept DocumentaryMy role & the packageProducerTreatmentChannel and platform informationCasting and crewLocationsPromotion and marketingPitchA documentary series that explores the most common signs of a serial killer in order to gain an insight into their mentality.

The IdeaEach episode focuses on a different trait common amongst serial killers Present case studies of which serial killers use these traits and analyse their behaviour Focus on WHY these individuals murder (their psychological behaviour) as opposed to the details of the cases/crimes.

1. E.g. 1st episode might be looking at serial killers who use their power and authority (have a strong sense of self importance) as a tool to lure in their victims men as businessmen and women as carers usually the most popular will look into WHY they are this way and what makes them become like this?2. Is it genetic or does environmental factors have an input?3. Not predominantly looking at controversy around the case/trial or talking to potential survivors or victim families (but will make references to). Trying to understand the mentality4. Not focusing on just one case, it will be several to show the common link 4Key ComponentsExperts (psychologists, serial killer experts)Re-constructions of the crimes/criminal behaviour (shown when expert discusses their behaviour)Case studies of serial killers who display the particular traits FormatTV Crime Documentary3 part series45 min episodesSimilar to Fred & Rose (3 part series where each episode explores a different element to their murder spree)
