ABOUT KELLY

Kelly Wearstler is a renowned American designer and

tastemaker known for her enchanting take on interiors. Over

the better part of the last decade, Wearstler has primed the

lifestyle and design experiences for resorts and hotels

throughout the United States and abroad. In the Fall of 2011

Wearstler debuted her ready–to–wear and accessories

collection, while simultaneously opening the doors to her

flagship boutique on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.In addition

to her free–standing boutique, the collection is also available

at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Net–A–Porter.

Wearstler’s expansive list of credits includes collaborations

with some of the industry’s most respected names, including

The Rug Company, and Bergdorf Goodman. This spring

she launched a new line of fabrics with Lee Jofa, her second

collection with the venerated textile company, and debuted

a collection of casual dinnerware with Pickard for whom

she most recently designed a set of formal dinnerware. As a

showcase for her creative work, Wearstler has published

three books, Modern Glamour: The Art of Unexpected Style,

Domicilium Decoratus and HUE. A fourth book is currently

underway with renowned publishing house Rizzoli, and is

set for completion in the Fall of 2012.

Wearstler was named one of the best dressed of the year by

Vogue; honored as one of the elite “Design 100” by Time Style

& Design; and has been on the Los Angeles Times’ bestseller list.

She also served as a judge on Bravo network’s interior design

competition series, Top Design.

Wearstler received her BFA from the Massachusetts College

of Art. She currently resides in Beverly Hills, California with

her husband and two young sons.

FLAGSHIP BOUTIQUE

The Flagship Boutique in Los Angeles on Melrose Avenue

houses the World of Kelly Wearstler. The store, designed

by Kelly Wearstler, is a destination experience where

customers will come to shop, explore, and be inspired.

The 2,400 square feet store carries the entire ready–to–wear,

jewelry, clutches, scarves and home accessories collection

as well as limited edition home furnishings and opened

in November 2011.

The Kelly Wearstler Decorative Home Collection has brought

a unique approach to the arena of décor and home accessories.

Each season is designed by Wearstler and features hand

crafted pieces that are both timelessly classic and uniquely edgy.

The collections are composed of natural materials such as marble,

wood, stone, ceramic and bronze. Several pieces are created

on a limited edition basis, hand signed by Kelly, becoming

collector’s items of the most luxurious nature.

DECORATIVE HOME COLLECTION

Kelly Wearstler has always been drawn to the rock and roll

aesthetic, and underground punk style. Her own wardrobe reflects

her love of the raw, edgy vibe that dominates the culture of rock,

and Wearstler drew from that deep well of inspiration for her

Pre Fall 2012 collection. “My sons are in a band called

The Negotiators, and when they got booked to play the Whiskey

we spent a lot of time considering what they would wear,

researching bands like The Smiths, and 70s era David Bowie.

Their wardrobe for that performance became the point of

departure for my Pre–Fall collection,” offers Wearstler.

Bands like Flock of Seagulls, Thomas Dalby, and the Clash

all influenced the direction of this season. The Junkie Jacket,

for example, is a classic black leather motorcycle jacket, and

the Grunge Shirt is, as its name suggests, a button front with a

distressed, worn in feel. The collection also includes several new

items of jewelry, each incorporating the classic, simple form of

a sphere. Colors clash, and patterns collide in Wearstler’s

Pre Fall collection with the same discordant harmony found in

the best rock and roll anthems.
