Thank you for registering for the 2019 Minnesota State Self-Advocacy Conference! Occurring only every other year,

and engaging 300+ self-advocates & allies, the Self Advocacy Conference is a great opportunity to learn about

disability rights, build new skills, and celebrate disability pride. This packet has details allowing you to focus on

opportunities to best do that.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING: For Day Only use the North Entrance for the Mystic Lake Center - If you are

attending just for the day, or getting dropped off use the North Entrance and park in Self-Parking. Take the Dakota

PKWY just south of the Little Six Casino (See Map). You can also park here and move it to the hotel during a break

or at the end of the day if you’d like.

For Overnight Guests Use Mystic Lake Hotel Entrance - If you are staying overnight at the hotel, you are

encouraged to use the valet service at the Complimentary Valet Hotel Entrance. You will take a different route to get

here, the Mystic Lake Hotel, than you will take to the day parking at Mystic Lake Center.

Be careful relying solely on your GPS – sometimes they will send you to Mystic Lake Hotel (overnight) when you

want Mystic Lake Center (day) or vice versa. They share the same address, but the parking lots are a ways apart. As

a day only guest, you will want to make sure your parking in the North Entrance - Self-Park Lot – giving you the

shortest walk. As an Overnight Guest you want the Complimentary Valet Hotel Entrance.

DAY PARKING/DROPOFF OVERNIGHT HOTEL VALET

Entering from the North Entrance (Day Parking at Mystic Center) you will walk straight until you see the registration

desk on your left, right outside of the Isanti Ballroom Rooms. There you can check in, get your name badge (required

for everyone) and get directed to your workshop room. If you’re a registered attendee and a presenter, get your

attendee badge, and then check-in as a presenter. REMINDER-SUPPORT STAFF ALSO NEED TO REGISTER

If staying at the hotel you can see if you can check into your room early and if not, you can leave your luggage with

the front desk. Either way you will then follow the brown path on the map below from check-in to either the

promenade tower (where conference hotel rooms from the room block are) or the conference space itself which is

just beyond that tower. You will walk past the Waconia Ballroom to our registration desk outside of the Isanti

ballroom to check-in and get your name badge. Scooters are available to rent at the hotel entrance with a valid ID

and credit card – there are first come first serve.

OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS: If you would like to stay overnight and have not already booked your room call

the Mystic Lake Hotel at 952-445-9000. Tell them you are a participant of the Self-Advocacy Conference.
