Programs Undertaking Custodial Care for Youth (children under age 18)

• Programs in which the University is knowingly supervising the participants, i.e., the youth are

• (1) registered in a program that places them • (2) in the care and supervision of a University employee/volunteer for a

period of time • (3) without a parent, guardian, teacher, etc. who is responsible for their

supervision

• The Clemson University Operating Standards for Youth Programs apply to all CU pre-collegiate programs. The standards are maintained, reviewed annually, and updated as appropriate by the PcPO

• There will be, approximately, 474 individual sessions/programs• Participants range from ages 4 to 18• There will be, approximately, 21,341 unduplicated participants• There will be, approximately, 258,535 participant days

• An average of 708 participants per day for 365 days• Each participant averages almost 9 days participating in

programming

• Summer, On-Campus• “Summer” began May 10th, 2014 and runs until August 15th, 2014

• There will be, approximately, 75 individual sessions/programs• Participants range from ages 4 to 18• There will be, approximately, 7,424 unduplicated participants• There will be, approximately, 32,133 participant days

• An average of 331 participants per day for 97 days• Each participant averages just over a 4 day stay on campus
