    Eatons Cutler-Hammer Pow-R-

    Command 2000 is a microprocessor-based

    programmable lighting controlsystem with an embedded webserverfor robust control. The PRC2000 can be

    used as a stand-alone

    panelboard ornetworked as a system

    . An upgrade canbe purchased to integrate the unit withinBACnet native control networks.

    Intelligent PowerSwitching Equipment

    Pow-R-Command 2000 Panelboards

    Pow-R-Command 2000 Panelboardsare offered from 100 through 225amperes in main lug and main breakerconfigurations. Available voltagesare 120/240, 208Y/120 and 480Y/277,single-phase and 3-phase. Thepanelboard utilizes both branchmounted standard breakers through100 amperes, and controllablethermal-magnetic breakers which

    are controlled by the Pow-R-Command2000 System Controller. The Pow-R-Command 2000 controllers providethe ability to directly operate up to eightbreaker control buses. Such a capabilityallows a single controller to directlyoperate up to 168 GHQRSP and BABRSPcontrollable circuit breakers, withindividual control and status feedbackof each controllable breaker.

    The System Controller also includesload override, holiday scheduling,

    one-shot or event schedules, off warning

    to tenants by blinking lights, memoryloss protection, power failure/brown-out protection, hardware diagnostics,

    a real-time clock and 16 dry contactswitch inputs.

    Equipment within the Pow-R-Command2000 System may be networked. Up to120 panelboards may be networkedover a shielded twisted pair networkcable without the need for a personalcomputer in the system.

    The Pow-R-Command 2000 Panelboardis listed UL

    67 for panelboards andUL 916 for energy managementequipment.

    BACnet Protocol

    The PRC2000 unit can be upgraded

    to the B series for integration withinBACnet native control networks.BACnet is a communications protocolwidely used in building automationand controls and adds even moreflexibility to the control system.

    PRC2000 LCD Display

    System DescriptionCoupled with an embedded web-server, the PRC2000 system containsnetworkable intelligence and providesautomated switching of branch circuitbreakers.

    Embedded Webserver

    The Pow-R-Command 2000 systemcontains an embedded webserver and

    configurable IP address which allowsfor complete programming andcontrol over a buildings IT network.Access is protected by username andpassword features.

    BACnet Protocol

    If the PRC2000 has been upgraded tothe B series, then it is also capableof communicating across and beingintegrated into BACnet native networks.BACnet is an industry standard com-munications protocol for buildingautomation and controls.

    Distributed Intelligence

    The system is distributed intelligentand operates as a stand-alone devicethat can control its own circuits. A per-sonal computer is not required for thesystem to operate.

    Main Network

    The Pow-R-Command System is capa-ble of globally communicating overthe main RS-485 network with up to120 controllers over an end-to-enddistance of 4,000 feet (1,219 m) using ashielded twisted pair network cable. Itis also possible to place all controllersor clusters of controllers onto thefacilitys Ethernet network.

    LCD Display and KeypadThe PRC2000 LCD display and keypadprovides local programming, overrideand diagnostic functions.

    Memory Loss Protection

    Time schedules, time-of-day clock, day/date, and system configuration param-eters are protected from memory loss ifthere is a power failure. The memoryloss protection is rated for 10 years.

    Power Failure/Brownout Recovery

    When system input power drops belownormal, the system will not lose itsprogrammed information. Upon returnof normal power, breaker positionsscheduled during the power failure

    period are immediately updated.No operator interaction is required.

    Astronomical Real-Time Clock

    Time-of-day, day/date, automatic leapyear and daylight savings time adjust-ments are provided as standard.

    Control Software

    It is possible to program the panel-board directly through its local RS-485maintenance port with a hand-heldprogrammer or with the lightingmanagement software over a shieldedtwisted pair cable by way of a centraloperators station.

    Time SchedulingPow-R-Command 2000 supports 75schedules as local control functions.Any of the 75 local time schedules ina controller can be designated as aback-up schedule to execute only if themaster schedules fail or cease execution.

    Holiday Scheduling

    Pow-R-Command 2000 supports 16system holidays through the NetworkAccess Device and, additionally, eachcontroller can execute 30 local holidaydefinitions.

    Input to Output Switch Matrix

    The input to output switch matrixfeature allows any breaker connectedto any panel to be controlled by anyswitch or any group of switchesconnected to any panel on the samenetwork.

    Messages/Alarms

    The system will maintain an alarm log.The log will record where the alarmoccurred, alarm reason, date and timeof the alarm. The log is maintained innon-volatile memory. The alarm logcan store up to 300 alarms.

    Daylighting Optimization

    Daylighting optimization is availableusing a combination of inputs on thePRC2000 controller or a Switch Over-ride Controller and dimming cable.

    Application Specific ControllersOptional Application Specific Controllersexpand the PRC2000 System throughthe network to customize the systemto meet the needs of the tenant.

    Switch Override Controller (SOC)

    Switch Override Controller (SOC)

    Provides the ability to connect andmonitor up to 48 additional 2-wire drycontact closures from wall switches,occupancy sensors, photocells, build-ing automation system relay contacts

    or any remotely mounted device witha dry contact.

    Input connections to the controller areself-powered.

    It is possible to program any input tothe switch override controller to con-trol any breaker or group of breakersin the system.

    Inputs are capable of being individu-ally time-schedule enabled fordifferent days of the week.

    Telephone Override Controller (TOC)

    Provides a voice prompted methodfor ON/OFF override control of light-ing. It is possible to override an indi-

    vidual breaker or group of breakersON or OFF during scheduled ornonscheduled hours using anytouch-tone analog telephone.

    The Telephone Override Controllerallows voice prompted control oflighting circuits for up to 1,000 indi-vidual users. It is possible to programany of the 1,000 users to control anybreaker or group of breakers in thepanelboard or system.

    System Configurations

    PRC Network Architecture

    Containing an embedded webserver,each Pow-R-Command 2000 system isprogrammed with a unique IP address

    for communication via any standardInternet browser. Web access is stan-dard with the PRC2000. Each controllercan support up to three additionalexpansion panels and can be connectedto a BACnet Client Workstation with anadditional upgrade.

    Breaker Control Busses

    Every Pow-R-Command ExpansionPanelboard can be configured with theleft and/or right breaker control bussesinstalled. This feature not only permitsstandard and remote controllablebreakers to be intermixed within thesame panelboard, but also permits forgreater flexibility and versatility indesign and control when integratingwith the Pow-R-Command SystemController.

    Pow-R-Command 2000 Controller can

    support up to eight Breaker ControlBusses contained within four standardpanelboardsor split between a maxi-mum of eight. When connected to thebuildings Internet, all master andexpansion panels can be controlled.

    The short circuit rating shown is thatof the main breaker only. The shortcircuit rating of the assembled panel-board is the rating of the lowest fullyrated main or branch device or therating of an approved series ratingcombination.

    Branch Circuit Breakers

    The type GHQRSP and BABRSP are the controllable circuit breakers. Controllablebreakers are available in 1- and 2-pole styles, from 15 through 30 amperes.Non-controlled circuit breakers can be located within the panelboard chassis.

    HID (High Intensity Discharge) rated breaker. Switching neutral breaker. 1-pole device requires 2-pole space; 2-pole device requires 3-pole space. Controllable breaker.

    GFCI for 5 mA personnel protection. GFP for 30 mA equipment protection. 50 ampere devices are available as 2-pole only.

    Series Ratings

    Eaton has tested the GHQRSP and BABRSP controllable circuit breakers forSeries Rated Combinations up to 200 kAIC with breakers or fuses. For a completelisting of available series ratings, see Section 22(Panelboards) Series RatingsTables 22.0-6through 22.0-16.
