PRAYER OF THANKSGIVINGGod of all blessings,

source of all life,

giver of all grace:

We thank you for the gift of life:

for the breath

that sustains life,

for the food of this earth

that nurtures life,

for the love of family and friends

without which there would be no life.

We thank you for the mystery of creation:

for the beauty

that the eye can see,

for the joy

that the ear may hear,

for the unknown

that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder,

for the expanse of space

that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves.

We thank you for setting us in communities:

for familieswho nurture our becoming,

for friends

who love us by choice,

for companions at work,

who share our burdens and daily tasks,

for strangers

who welcome us into their midst,

for people from other lands

who call us to grow in understanding,

for children

who lighten our moments with delight,

for the unborn,

who offer us hope for the future.

We thank you for this day:

for life

and one more day to love,

for opportunity

and one more day to work for justice and peace,

for neighbors

and one more person to love

and by whom be loved,

for your grace

and one more experience of your presence,

for your promise:

to be with us,

to be our God,

and to give salvation.

For these, and all blessings,

we give you thanks, eternal, loving God,

through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATIONHeavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus:I here and now repent for my sins, and believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of

God.

I believe that Christ died for me, as my substitute, and rose from the dead

according to the Scriptures.

Thank you God, for sending Your Son, and paying my debt in full.

Even though I was separated from You by my sins, You saw me helpless, and

fallen, and loved me enough to die for me.

I believe that Jesus suffered the penalty of my sins, and paid the full price to

clear my debt.

Your Word declares that His Precious Blood, sinless and Divine, pays for all of

my sins.

Because He suffered my penalty, I am now free.

No sin remains to condemn me. I'm no longer guilty before You.

I believe the good news of the Cross, and Your promise that

"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

I ask Your forgiveness, and I now receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Savior.

Today, I accept Your gift of love, mercy, peace and eternal life.

I declare by faith that Jesus Christ now lives in me.

I am a new creation in Christ, born of God with the life of Jesus in me.

I trust the blood of Christ blots out every sin from my life. My record is clean

by Your mercy.

According to Your Word, I am now forgiven, I am now saved.

Amen.

PRAYER OF FORGIVENESSHeavenly Father I come to You in the name of JesusI ask Your forgiveness and repent Lord. I have purposed in my heart to actively

fight temptation using Your Word so that I do not continue to sin. Father, I

know that sin separates us and I want to be close to You. I want to be a

woma) after Your own heart like King David was.

Lord Your Word says that the wages of sin is death. Help me to better

understand the seriousness of sin, and help me to have a pure heart with pure

motives. I thank you Father for sending Christ to die for all of my sins, however

though His blood has cleansed me from all unrighteousness, let me not use this

as a deceptive excuse to keep sinning.

I want to show You how much I love You! I want to love You with the love

that Jesus spoke of saying: "If you love Me, keep my commandments." Help me

keep Your commandments Lord, and help me to see the way of escape more

clearly when temptation is near, for Your Word says that You will provide a

way out for me.

Strengthen me oh God, so that I may keep Your laws and statutes written on

my heart. Help me to read Your Word and rely upon Your Word regularly,

because it is Your Word that keeps me from sin.

Finally Lord, today I forgive anyone who has offended me in the past. Any

wrong doings against me, both great and small, I now forgive this day. Irecognize that if I do not forgive others, then neither will You forgive me. I

thank You for Your mercy and I thank You for Your grace Lord.

In the mighty name of Jesus I pray and declare these things, Amen.

PRAYER OF ADORATIONFather God, you are so awesome.

You fill us with regular amazement at your glorious power, your wonderful,

unceasing presence, your ever-surrounding knowledge of our quietest thoughts.

Thank you today and every day for the long-ago day when you took your all-

consuming, firework love and turned it into a carpenters son, kicking his legs in

a mere feeding trough.

You stripped away all your heavenly brilliance and stepped shivering onto the soil

you made to greet the people you created because of that love, that never-

ending, unbreakable love that you used to first explode the Universe and,

equally, to die an awful human death on a cross made of trees that you

sculpted with your very hands.

There is nothing we can say, or sing, or make, or do that is even within earshot

of you and your love, and yet you kneel down beside us and listen carefully to

our most unimportant worries.

We sitting here today are nothing on the grand scale of things, while you are

everything and more, but still you smile and point out every individual and say

proudly, Thats my child.

Let us never forget that youre our father, our dad, our daddy, who reads us

the best bedtime story theres ever been, or will be, or can be.

You are God, and we praise you for it.

Amen.
