BETWEEN THE DASH

Another year can now be placed in the records of history. Have you ever reflected

back and said, “Where has the time gone?” I can’t believe it is 2012 already. Time

sure does fly by. I’m another year older and deeper in ____ . We think about birth-

days, holidays, vacations, trips we took in 2011 and wonder what we will do in

2012. Let me borrow your remote for a minute. I want to flip over to the Spiritual

Channel, 3 Jn 2-4. Beloved I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health,

just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of

the truth that is in you, just as you walk in truth. I have no greater joy than to hear

that my children walk in truth. When we die usually on the tombstone someone

has inscribed the date of birth and date of death. Have you ever wondered what

happened in that persons life between the dash? Well if they don’t write a song

like Abraham, Martin and John; Has anybody seen my old friend, Bobby, Martin

Luther and John? Can you tell me where they’ve gone? They freed a lot of people

but it seems the good die young; I looked around and they were gone. We just look

at the dash and wonder. Jesus our Lord and Savior came to earth. He was born of

the virgin Mary. He lived, died and rose again. What did He do between, NO what

did He do BEFORE, BETWEEN and AFTER the dash? Let me show you:

Keith’s Kitchen…

Keith’s Kitchen is an op-

portunity to support our

work in Honduras. Each

Wednesday at 6:15PM

Keith prepares a deli-

cious meal. The teens help with the

dessert, drinks and clean-up. All

proceeds go to the accounts of stu-

dents who help. There is no set fee

but your generous checks should be

made to Tampa Youth Missions.

Dessert this week is Sandlin, Price,

Lally, Stewart.

NW Tampa Youth Rally…

Our NWT youth rally is less than two

weeks away. David Skidmore will

be with us again this year. The rally

starts at 7:00 Friday night January

13 and ends around 3:30PM on Sat-

urday. We will need lots of help

with housing Friday night and with

setting up and cleaning up for Break-

fast and Lunch on Saturday. Sign-up

sheets are posted so check them

and indicate the areas you can help.

We are going to make an

effort to replace all of the

out-dated photos for our

website directory and we

need your help. Tonia and

Matt will be taking pic-

tures before and after services, in

office #2, across from the secre-

tary’s office. The process should

move along very quickly and will

only require 2 minutes at the most,

of your time. Be aware that if you

do not have a new picture taken, we

will use what we currently have on

file. Take a look at the new pictures

with the red border on the picture

board.

Our “Change for Children”

campaign is coming to an

end next week. Drop your

filled cans off at the

church office. This change

will make a difference in the lives of
