Prayer is powerful. When we pray, the 5de of the ba8le turns. Prayer also breaks down barriers to Christ. Prayer is a formidable tool for ministry. As the people we pray for experience change in their lives, their conversion is facilitated. Our prayer approach is scriptural, based on many bible verses in par5cular Ma8hew 18:19. This is why two Prayer Partners (“two of you…for them”) stand in agreement with every pe55oner to bring their request before the throne of grace. We make prayer more accessible to our church members by having an Intercessory Prayer Service every Sabbath aQer the main service. Prayer Partner Teams stand in front of the sanctuary and church members line up to pray with any available team. “Prayers Sta5ons” are a potent form of evangelism that originated in New York City. It is a tested and proven concept in many ci5es and countries (US, UK, Australia, New Zealand). We are branding our own SDA adapta5on of this concept as “Prayer Stand”. There are many ways to implement a Prayer Stand, based on the type of environment you’re serving (urban, suburban, or rural). Our experience has demonstrated that in Houston’s primarily suburban environment the Drivethru Prayer Stand works best. People drive up to our prayer tent and remain in their car while we minister to them. Whenever possible, volunteer greeters wearing prayer aprons stand at the closest traffic intersec5on to invite drivers for prayer and direct them to our church. Road signage also helps direct drivers to the Prayer Stand. Don’t be afraid to try out this innova5ve form of evangelism with your prayer team and your church.

Our  prayer  approach  is  scriptural,  based  on  many  bible  verses  -‐  in  par5cular  Ma8hew  18:19.    This  is  why  two  Prayer  Partners  (“two  of  you…for  them”)  stand  in  agreement  with  every  pe55oner  to  bring

It  is  a  tested  and  proven  concept  in  many  ci5es  and  countries  (US,

Stand”.  There  are  many  ways  to  implement  a  Prayer  Stand,  based  on  the  type  of  environment  you’re

serving  (urban,  suburban,  or  rural).

Our  experience  has  demonstrated  that  in  Houston’s  primarily  suburban  environment  the  Drive-‐thru  Prayer  Stand  works  best.
