School Report April and May 2017

On 10th April 2017, we began our new School academic year with a beautiful Inter- religious prayer service.

Prayer was led by Sr.Rashmi, Sr. Preeti, S.A. Wajid and Mr. Pramod Kumar Pandey. We implored God to send special

blessings for this new academic year. Students promised that they will remain as good students and achieve their goal.

The total Admission number of students were One hundred thirty (130). The strength of the school is 648 (Six

hundred and forty eight ) The school staff is consisting of 15 regular teachers, two-part time teachers and two non-

teaching staffs.

On 13th April 2017, new Students (LKG&UKG) appeared for entrance test. Total 100 students appeared for the test

and 60 students were selected.

On 17th April 2017, we remembered Late Sr. Anicia our Principal on her 1st death anniversary. We offered

special prayers and paid homage for her soul during our morning assembly.

On 18th April 2017, we gratefully thanked our assistant teacher Mrs.ManjuSinha who served 25 years in PV

school and today she is being retired from the PV school. We had arranged short culture programme in her honour.

On 5th May 2017, there was teachers’appointment for our school. Mr. P.R.Dwyer , Kiran Lama and Sr. Manisha

were here for teachers selection. There were three teacher candidates, among the three one was selected. Her name

is Priyanka Kumari from Mastipur, Bodhgaya.She is our ex-student.

On 7th May 2017, the Inter Religious Association Organized Speech competition for Inter School. The topic was

“The greatness of Lord Buddha” From our school two students participated.Sagiya Praveen from class X and Sanjeet

Kumar from class X. Both of them won the prize Sagiya Praveen 1st and Snjeet Kumar 3rd prize.

On 10th May2017, our students from class 6th to 10th participated in Buddha Jayanti. We started our procession

from 80 feet “The statue of Lord Buddha” till Main Temple. Along the many devotees we too spent our time in prayer

and worship. TheSame dayin the evening “Inter-religious Friend Association” organized” Buddha Jayanti” celebration

in Mahayana Hotel. Many people were present. At the end of the celebration Prize distribution was done for speech

competition winners.

On 16th May 2017, we elected leaders for our school from senior classes. They pledged before the assembly that they

will do their responsibilities well and help the students in their discipline.

We had drawing competition on 16th May for all the classes. This is one way of showing their hidden talent. Topic was

not given, they need to think and draw a picture.

Due to extreme heat D.M.of Gaya announced Summer Vacation from 16th May after class. So, from LKG to class 8th

students were in holidays. But for the class 9th and 10th students we continued the classes till 20th May. After the class,

we distributed note books for the students and we continued 17th May for rest of the students.

On 18th May 2017, Archaeology Museum Bodhgaya invited 30 students to participate in their programme, there they

had drawing and G.K competition. Many students of our school received prizes.

On 21st May 2017, we began our Summer Vacation. School will remain closed till 21st June and on 22nd June school will

be reopen.

Miss Priyanka joined our school on 11th May 2017 as assistant teacher. She completed her

class X studies from Prajna Vihar School ,Bodhgaya. Her qualification was Matric 1st Div. And I.Sc.2nd Div.

Other qualification: Computer (DCA),Tally Diploma in Tabla (music ) and Sewing. Her hobbies are singing,

dancing, painting, reading books and cooking. She is good and doing well.
