REPORT ON FRESHERS DAY CELEBRATIONS

On, 18th

November 2013 at 12:15 pm, the fresher’s day celebrations

started off with a warm prayer song dedicated to Lord Ganesh.

The directors, principal, head of the department and other important faculty

members were given a very wholehearted welcome. Our college principal Dr.S.Shambhu

Prasad sir gave his wonderful speech regarding senior-junior interaction, followed by the

head of department Mr.V.Prasanth. All our teachers were given a warm welcome with a

classical dance performed by a fresher student, since classical dance depicts India’s culture

and heritage, which was very clearly and shown through the dance. The spot events made the

juniors to exhibit their hidden talents .It was the most memorable, wonderful and the best part

of our fresher’s day celebrations because both juniors and seniors interacted a lot, danced and

sang together.

Now the second session of cultural started which included some mesmerizing

and excellent performances by senior and junior students. The whole session was very

entertaining till the last performance. One of the senior troupe sang a song which was

composed by them and it was very creative.

After the cultural, the prize distribution took the center stage, when our

respected Staff members of our department distributed the prizes to the junior students for the

games conducted, namely QUIZ CONTEST, BALL IN CUP, and STRAW GAME.

Now it was time for having a sweet end to our wonderful celebrations by cake cutting,

which was done by the HOD sir, CRs and GRs, event organizers and selected juniors. The

senior students arranged some snack items to the Staff members of the department and the

junior students It was a very sweet moment. The vote of thanks was given and the

celebrations came to an end. To make this event much more memorable, seniors gave the

juniors a photo frame, in which a group photo of their respective classes were given to them.

Thus a wonderful fresher’s day celebrations filled with heartwarming and heart touching

moments came to end on a wonderful note.
