REPUBLIC DAY

Republic day in India is celebrated every year with great honor on 26th of January to

honor the Constitution of India as it came into force on the same day in the year 1950.

It had replaced the Government of India Act, 1935 into the governing document of the

India. It is a honor to celebrate REPUBLIC DAY with faculty and students on 26th,

Jan 2017.


After the national flag hosting Honoring Employees for putting in more than 15 years

and 10 years of association with Pragati Engineering College from CSE

DEPARTMENT this honor is given to Y. Jayababu( Prof) and G.Satya

sunitha(Assoc.Prof).


National Women’s Day Celebration

National Women’s Day of India was observed on 13 February 2014.This day is

observed on the date of birth of India’s first women governor sarojini Naidu.Sarojini

Naidu was born on 13 February 1879 and died on 2 march 1949.this was the 135th

birth anniversary of Sarojini Naidu.

Her birthday has been selected to observe as a National woman Day in recognition of

the works done by her for up liftment and development of women in India. Her name


and birth date was proposed to celebrate as the National Women’s Day in India by

members of Bharitya Mahila sangh and Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Sammelan.

In our college we honor Ms.Siri Anand, RTO, Rajamundry. is the Chief guest of the

function and addressed the gathering, motivated girl students towards Government

Jobs.

Microsoft Imagine Camp 2017 has been organized at Pragati Engineering College

on 9th March 2017, Around 200 students have attended this event. Mr.Venkatesh

Sarvasiddhi,(Head, Academic Initiatives) and Mr.Vibhor Shrivastara addressed

the students on various aspects of Imagine Cup and Startups. Mr.Satish, Vice

President, Pragati Engineering college has Advised all the students to register for

Imagine Cup 2017, Mr. S V Ramana murthy Prof, Cse Dept, has emphasised the
